When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

Here is a kickass Japanese animated fantasy epic that will knock your socks off! i saw it 11 years ago in theaters when i was 18, loved it and always loved Ghibli since i watched Totoro including watcing Castle of Cogliostro and Warriors of the Wind (Nausicaa) as a kid.

This is Miyazaki's second best after Spirited Away! pure originality with Japanese mythology and style thrown in. The dub is quite good even though it's funny to hear BillY Bob Thorton playing a hillbilly ninja.

I can't say Miyazaki has terribly impressed me, but then, the only stuff of his I've actually bothered to watch so far are Castle of Cagliostro and Kiki's Delivery Service...

Yeah...definately not the right ones. Kiki's alright and I've never seen Cagliostro. My Miyazaki faves are Laputa, Howl's Moving Castle, and Princess Mononoke. If you really want to see what Miyazaki's made of...watch Mononoke.

I had a chance to see Spirited Away over the summer, and I definitely enjoyed it. Not super crazy about it, but it's a great film and I would recommend it to people who like fantasy stories in the vein of Lewis Carol.

Been meaning to see Princess Mononoke for a while, but have only seen the beginning of it. Maybe my library has a copy I can rent this weekend.

I wasn't overly impressed with Spirited Away. I enjoyed it, but it definitely doesn't rank in with my favorites. I thought Miyazaki did a much better job with Mononoke.

"Mononoke" is one of my favorite movies of all time, animated or otherwise. I can respect those who feel it's bloated or too confusing, but I also respectfully disagree. It's an amazing story that aptyl blends ideas, characters, and plot together into a beautifully told story with layers upon layers, and the most emotionally and intellectually honest portrayal of Man vs. Nature I've ever seen. So yeah, good stuff.

Yes. Kiki's Delivery Service was perhaps Miyazaki' most charming work, but it really doesn't capture Miyazaki's imagination like all of his other films do. I think most of that is because Kiki started with a different director, and Miyazaki had to take over after some issues.

Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away are my top favorite Miyazaki films of all time. I like how Mononoke was able to capture the many different cultures presented in the film. It's amazing. And Spirited Away presented a very believable character in very a very daunting situation. And Miyazaki's imagination in both films is amazing.

I have always been a huge fan of Miyazaki's work, my personal favorite being Spirited away. But Princess Mononoke is defiantly worth watching.

Princess Mononoke is great - I've seen it twice! Even my thoroughbred Yorkshireman boyfriend has seen it and isn't too unimpressed with it, which says a lot about the film.

There are wild pigs in an exhibit in London zoo who look just like the... was it the Spirits of the Forest? I'm not sure. But Eee-by-'Eck and I laughed at them for a good couple of minutes because of the similarity.
