@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

All I have to say is this

JALEEL FRICKEN WHITE! I'm sold icon_e_smile.gif

(disclaimer:
and before anyone asks, no this has nothing to do with you know who)

I just wanted to tell you that the hardest thing I've faced
Wasn't the teasing or the pain
It was convincing myself I wasn't stupid, strange, or lame
And helping others do the same.

"CGI Sonic in the real world"

Damn it. I expected this to be animated traditionaly, I would be OK with CGI, as long as it looks good, but CGI integrated in real life? Even with Jaleel White as Sonic, I'm not sure about this.

I hope I misheard his sayings.

Wow...now THIS is the kind of fan support I haven't seen since George Takei appeared on that episode of that Star Trek fanseries!

Wow....very interesting.

First off, I'm surprised as well that he got Jaleel White to play Sonic. That's awesome...but...CGI Sonic in the real world??? I don't know. Has anyone else ever heard of this guy or seen his Mega Man movie? How good is he actually? CGI/real world is weird enough, but if it's not done well it will just be disastrous.

I thought the Mega Man fan film was wonderfully embarassing to watch. I can't wait to see what comes of this project. Hiring Jaleel White to voice Sonic after all these years is quite a treat, but I doubt he'll be able to afford other veteran voice actors like Kath Soucie or Jim Cummings.

That concerns me then. I will agree that it will be nice to hear Jaleel White voice Sonic again, but my fear is that that will be the only good thing in this movie. Oh well...I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

And yes, it would be nice to have Jim Cummings as well. JIM CUMMINGS ROCKS!

you know, for once it's nice that this guy DIDN'T show up at all the sonic forms six months ago and tell us about this. He actually had the professionalism to WAIT until he actually had a product that is actually well on its way to being made.

As for the quality of it...I dunno, we'll see. Never heard of this guy or a "mega man" fan film. At the very least it will be interesting.

I'm sold on Jaleel alone, I mean even if the film isn't that great, it'll be wonderful to hear him as Sonic again.

Concept art of the Sonic model has been leaked by Sonic Stadium. It looks like they're going with the Sonic '06 model (I had the link here, but it seems that Lebron has updated the fan film site with a notice stating not to leak the material so I removed it.
http://sonicfanfilm.com/
He'll release it to the public in 28 days).

It's going to be interesting hearing Jaleel's voice coming out of the modern style Sonic.

It's... a slightly more detailed version of Sonic, what with the loose strands of fur sticking out, but yeah it's more or less 06 Sonic. I was kind of hoping for a more realistic style, but then again I'm probably in the minority there.

Of the two projects, I'm more interested in the live action film.

This guy wants to make something different and unique. AKR... is just making a rehash of SatAM with some nods to the games... Whoo. Though this new debate over which one fans should donate to is just stupid. And who cares if they end up sucking hard! Their fan projects that we didn't pay for! ... Expect for AKr's, that is...

... Oh, and Mr. White. Pure awesome.

Wow...that is going to be really weird hearing Jaleel's voice coming out of that. It's too bad they're using the "Skinny Sonic", it just doesn't seem to match the attitude that Jaleel gave to Sonic in the 90's. But I'm with Nique in that I'll watch it if for nothing else to hear Jaleel voice Sonic again.

Honestly I don't know where on Stadium it came from. I found it elsewhere and the guy who posted it just said it was from a guy at Stadium that leaked it.

I dunno, If it is really going to be modern sonic, I just don't believe Jaleel White's old Sonic voice is going to go well. Over the game years, Sonic has matured somewhat. His old unmature voice just doesn't seem to fit...

It would be awesome to hear Jim Cummings come back from this. Honestly I kinda wish it would be longer and more SatAM based. Apparently its just gonna be a CGI Sonic walking around New York. Yay?

speaking of Jaleel, I remember him saying on the SatAM Box Set interview that he'd love to do sonic again. He said he could probably still do the voice, and wanted to add a slightly "grittier" texture for a movie version. Not sure what that would mean, but I wouldn't mind if it were very slight. I'd trust Mr. White's sensibilities on that one.
