@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Yeah, I used to like their songs enough to buy their second and third albums, but after hearing them perform live....never again.

Just found out Testament (thrash band formed in the 80's) is releasing their new album "The Formation of Damnation" on April 29th so any hardcore thrash fans should go here to download the first track from the album for free:

Oh cool, another Megadeth fan what's your favorite album from them? I personally think Peace Sells...but Who's Buying? is their best.

My fav Megadeth album is Countdown To Extinction, it was one of the first few albums I ever bought if I remember correctly. I'd say it's a close call between that and Rust In Piece, for me.

Goes without saying their worst is Risk.

Yeah, Risk is the worst album they have ever put out, I think it's best we not talk about it that much

The Megadeth albums that get the most time in my CD player are "Peace Sells..." and "Rust in Peace", I hate to say it but I really don't listen to the other Deth' albums much. My favorite Megadeth songs have to be "Holy Wars...", "Five Magics", "Wake Up Dead", and "Devil's Island".

I listen to those albums the most too (along with some of the first album and their latest)

Megadeth's good, Iron Maiden I like, I also like Children of Bodom, and Silent Civilian alot. I love Dragonforce's music, the sound just hits the right nerve. I've not heard a thing about them live though, reading what was said about it kind of made me go "Aww bummer... oh well..." and play some of their studio tracks anyways.

Metallica, is more or less alright by me. (most of their stuff bores me save a few songs) Slayer's another one that's 'just alright' as far as their sound goes.

A band I really don't like is Cradle of Filth except for maybe their Castlevania theme cover.

Well, Judas Priest released the title track off their new album for free, which you can get here: http://www.epicrecor...om/judaspriest/

Any opinions on it?

I came across an awesome but really unknown death metal group called Psypheria. They're a death metal group that incorporates keyboards into the music similarly to Nocturnus, but don't have as much technical flare, though these guys can deliver blazing guitar solos. Like Nocturnus, they know how to make the keys complement the riffs rather than over power them, which I can't say about bands like Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir (which have many other problems other than this). It's a shame the only place you can find Psypheria albums is in Russia because shipping from there takes 3-4 weeks.

I enjoy any and all genres of music--without lyrics--so long as the melody interests me.

There's going to be a talent show at our school at the end of this month, so me and a couple of friends decided to go play Judas Priest's "Breaking the Law"

Only problem is, all the others wimped out from the singing part, so I'm forced to sing it :S

I don't really have musical talent, but if I really worked at it, I could be a solid death metal vocalist (so long as I didn't have to write songs/lyrics, play bass or guitar). I'd go for David Vincent's vocal style in Morbid Angel's godly "Altars of Madness" as I like doing that and that raspy growl sounds way more menacing than the lame "cookie monster" growls and "pig squeals" that infest commercial death metal nowadays.

It must be really hard to hold that kind of voice for 3+ minutes on a song though :S

Yeah but your vocal chords eventually get used to it. If I tried to sing in a more melodic manner like Bruce Dickenson or Rob Halford, my voice would crack like peanut brittle.

Yeah, the singing voice those two possess is unreal.
