@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

Sonic Adventure 2 was a good game?

Yeah at least compared to the stuff that came after it. I haven't played it since I was a kid but I remember liking it alot.

I'm not really crazy about the games after SA2. I did like Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 06 but since then flat out lost interest in both. And I haven't played any Sonic games past SatSR. Demons and genies are kinda weird for the Sonic universe. Adding werewolves and swords to that does it for me. unsure.gif Although, the SatSR party games are fun! thumbsup_anim.gif

Sonic Color Voices
a cutscene for y'all to judge the voices.

I'm really not sure why people say it's good that Sonic's going back to his root's by being "lighthearted".

Last time I checked the Sonic game's I grew up with always had menace whether subtle or upfront, something this game lacks in spades.

Heck, Sonic adventure 2 is one of the grimiest in the series and yet is a fan favorite!

Well...these new voices may take some getting used to but they are not bad.
Tails does not have that loud & childish voice anymore so that's a plus. biggrin.gif
Sonic... Well the comment under the video said it all:

"Sonic hit his 3rd puberty."

Whole lot better than Griffith though so we'll just have to get used to Sonic's deeper voice.

BTW Nintendo Power Magazine gave a 9/10 for Colors and that is the first time a sonic game has been rated that high in the past 4 years I've had the subscription.

Tails new voice is a plus. I hated his Sonic X voice. He sounded so childish and weird.

Sonic's on the other hand... Eh, I don't really care for it too much.

It just doesn't sound like what I would expect him to.

They should have just stuck with Ryan Drummond. He was really good at it.

I am PRAISING these new voices. Its like everybody finally sounds how they should! Tails doesn't sound too old, appropriate for his supposed age, and Sonic sounds a little odd, almost as if he's burping at every word, but still a whole lot better than before. Salvation has arrived.

Finally! Tails voice has sucked from Sonic Heroes onward, but no more. He finally has a decent voice again.
And I like Sonic's new voice. He sounds a bit more like the 16ish year old he is supposed to be.

Wow! I like it! I've been a fan of Roger's since Assassin's Creed II and Resident Evil 5 so it's an easy win-win for me. wub_anim.gif I definitely like the voice acting for sure. Tempted to give Colors a shot.

Uh, thats not what this topic is about DMoney. Its about the quote made by the head of Sonic Team that I decided to share. Why don't you check out the topic starter before posting so you don't make yourself look super totally awesome.

Your choice of words is uncalled for, Mr Knockout. DMoney is expressing his opinion of the best Sonic game to him, and he is entitled to his opinion, regardless of what your topic starter says. You ought to exercise tact next time when you're informing someone what you're talking about. wink.gif

I have to side with Mr Knockout on this one, though not with the way he phrased it. It's still an off-topic post that didn't follow from anything in the thread beyond looking at the title.

Don't we usually get off topic anyway? huh.gif I think even DMoney acknowledged he was making an off topic comment. That's a minor point though. What I was addressing with what I said, like Kef said with disagreeing with the wording, is that there is a right way and a wrong way to inform someone of that. "DMoney, that's not what the topic is about" or somewhere along the lines is fine enough. Even Mr Knockout's "thats not what this topic is about DMoney. Its about the quote made by the head of Sonic Team that I decided to share" is fine enough too. Something like "hey, dumbass! Why don't you try reading the first post before you open your stupid mouth" isn't.

It's Mr Knockout's topic, so he's entitled to ask people to stay on topic as he so wishes, but my issue was with the choice of words that were used when he said that he wasn't talking about the best Sonic game in general.

Oh ok. I might as well go to the SatAM episode discussion board and reply with "SONIC HEROES BEATS MW2 ANY DAY FOR ME", since its still an 'opinion' and is completely unrelated to the topic of the board. Even if this happens often, its still not a wise thing to do. And if he acknowledged the fact he was speaking off topic, would it kill him to make his own topic in the forum himself and not spam his opinions on others?! And for the love of God all I said was 'stupid'. I didn't say retarded, I didn't say dumbass, I just told him how it was! This is a topic about a quote made by Sonic Team and ff someone sees a reply like "Sonic 3 owns" they'll most likely go "wtf?" because It doesn't relate to the topic!

I said someone going off topic in a topic happens. I didn't say it was right or okay. I said it happens. I realize I worded my quote wrong last night, as I was not saying he should be excused for going off topic. What I meant by it is that with your wording it was as though you were getting onto him for expressing something he felt. I know you weren't, and I understand what you're saying. And like I said, it's your topic. You're free to ask people to stay on topic and free to point out when someone's saying something unrelated to the topic. In that, you weren't doing anything wrong. But that wasn't the issue. "So you don't make yourself look stupid"? I get that you were annoyed about him coming in and saying something off topic. You had already told him a sentence before that he said something unrelated to the starting post (and that was okay), so was that phrase at the end honestly necessary or deserving? Suppose someone spoke that way to you. Do you think it have been okay or telling it like it is, as you put it, or do you think you would have spoken up? It'd be a different situation if he was being an asshole to you, but he wasn't.

Like I said, there's a right way and a wrong way of doing things. If that was an acceptable way of talking to people, people wouldn't get fired for their behavior or get punched for talking to people like that. wink.gif Again, it all came down to the wording.

I am soooo sorry Mr Knockout that I didnt stay on the topic, please do not report me to the SatAM police. I did make the mistake of reading the title "The Best Sonic Game Ever" but failed to read the rest of the title, so Sonic and Knuckles just jumped to my mind as my fav game... and reading all of you guys comments I thought it would be ok to post it. My bad. Next time I will make sure I stay on topic because I know how it is to post in chat and somebody comes in with something totally off the wall. And yea Mr Knockout you're right it does make me look stupid if I post off chat, but the way you worded it just made you look kinda like an a##. But, no biggie, as Sonic would say.

It's all good, Mr Knockout. smile.gif Just next time please be more polite, yeah? I should have a look at this trailer sometime! Only just saw that cutscene 4 one. I'll admit Roger's voice is a little too deep for what I'd personally imagine for Sonic, but I definitely like the acting more than Jason's.

Yeah, it is pretty deep. However Roger left a note stating that SEGA wanted Sonic's voice deeper and felt that he sounded to immature for his supposed age. They felt that Roger succeeded where Jason failed and gave him new role. I'm gonna miss Jason though. sad.gif After so many playthroughs of Unleashed and Zero Gravity I kinda got used to it. Its gonna be weird hearing this new voice now. wacko.gif
