@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Did Ben tell you that too?

Thank you very much for sharing this, Nique. I like how this shows how sadstic Ben was going to make Robotnik (Taking the young Nicole's life away like that).

As for people still thinking that the old comic stories were real Season 3 ideas, blame TV.com for starting that. I just checked there and they still have that incorrect information up:

I saw that years ago and it really annoys me to this day.

Chief, what are you doing?! Having Sea3on fiction mentioned on a popular site like TV.com is exactly the kind of promotion the comic needs!

It's not really promoting the comic, espically since the information was taken from the outdated version of it.

Yea, I figured she was a Mobian.

I gotta hand it to Ben for this clever thinking. I would never have thought of that idea of transferring a human brain to a computer.

Where he got his inspiration, I wish I knew.

Its not related to the current comic arc, those comics aren't even on the site any more, and TV.com doesn't link in any way to FUS. All it does is cause confusion with the community as it has done so for years.

Not exactly "promotion". But hey, I'll just send them a nice email. And if that doesn't work I'll go ahead and threaten them. That always seems to work eh?

The concept has been around for about as long as computers have been part of science fiction. The most notable example is the movie Ghost in the Machine. The Lawnmower Man also comes to mind. The concept also features as plots in the various Twilight Zone style shows. The sheer amount of implied power of Nicole's "awakened" mind really cranks the concept up to 11, though. As far as I'm aware, Ben's take on the concept is unique.

Projection: If Intruder Organsim reaches civilized areas...

Entire world population infected 2,7000 hours from first contact.

Noope. That data base "vanished". It was a "I sent it to you!" "er..no..no you didn't"

Thats the kinda stuff that happens when the site goes through multiple owners and servers I guess. We were going to rebuild it though. Just with everything going on..Haven't gotten to it.

Well I promise nothing but I'll see what I have. Maybe I have some old profiles somewhere.

Here we go:

QUOTE
Straight from Ben Hurst:
Snively and Robotnik were with the first major space expedition - but Robotnik's treachery caused the members of his expedition to turn on him. He stole a ship and returned home, Snively at his side. Extreme passage of time a la Einstein's theory of Relativity - and he comes back when Mobian furry history has had plenty of time to evolve. He seeks out leader (King Acorn) and becomes minister of science, pushing Mobotropolis ahead scientifically.

That's very, very interesting actually. I was never a big fan of Mobius as a future Earth and all, but that little snippet concerning Robotnik sure makes me see some good sides to it.

Yes. Dear ol' Rocky wasn't exactly the most forthcoming bloke to deal with.
