i like jaleel but i think smith has a good chance as long as it's not the one from alton towers. i also like the voice of young sonic in satAM.

I'm rooting for Roger, as I'm familiar with four games where he's voice acted in and I think he is a really good actor.

Jaleel will always be Sonic for me. Starring as the blur blur in three cartoon series has pretty much cemented his voice as Sonic in my mind.
Jason and Ryan can go die in a fire somewhere. Or, less violently, stay the hell away from Sonic for the rest of their lives. Nothing personal, just the crazy-arse fanboys that surround those two names makes me despise them to the ends of the Earth.

The only Sonic voice I know well is Jaleel White. Ive really only watched SatAM and a few episodes of Underground. So.. Its Jaleel for me.

I couldn't listen to the video of it for more than a minute. I wish they could just record him reading...I don't know, "normal" dialogue. (Maybe have him read Shakespeare or something...)
Just learned that he voiced Chris Redfield and Ezio Auditore, which I had no idea were voiced by the same actor. He's a talented guy for sure and I generally like his voices, but I don't know for sure about sonic. Jason sort of grew into the role and got better as he went along.

... Ugh, I really don't care for this guy as Sonic if that's what he's gonna sound like.
I've watched every kind of Sonic Cartoon and played most of the games with a Sonic VA, and still Jaleel White is the voice I hear in my head when reading Sonic Dialogue not spoken outloud in both comic and game. His voice just fits Sonic's personality in my opinion the best.
Just like nobody can voice Robotnik/Eggman like Jim Cummings did in SATAM. That deep voice made the SATAM Robotnik more menacing and just you could take him more seriously. Having a goofy voice like he does in Sonic Adventure he doesn't even sound like a real threat.
I'm sorry but sometimes a character can be ruined by horrible voice acting, unless you happen to mute that and read it yourself if it allows you to display their lines. For example look at X4 were MegamanX sounds like a girl...

Jaleel, 1000%. I like what I've heard of Roger so far in "Sonic Colors", but only to the extent that he doesn't sound as god-awful as Griffith. Drummond and Burke both did well enough, too. But Jaleel's the only Sonic VA I know who ever really felt like he fit the character, and he's also the only one who managed to convey anything even remotely resembling a wide range of emotions from Sonic believably.

In my opinion, Roger's performance is somewhat mixed.
They've got the personality right, but the voice seems off. It no longer has that sharp-sounding, fast-talking voice Jaleel, Ryan, and even Jason had. Whenever I see Sonic, I always imagine him having that signature squeaky voice that he had ever since I first saw him in SA2.
