Chaos Emeralds

Do you approve or disapprove of the presence of Chaos Emeralds in this storyline?
I know a few of you out there will be creaming yourself over them, while others are probably ready to kill me over them. For both groups I would like to point you towards Gojira the head writer for Sea3on. It was fully his idea to put them in, so any creaming and/or killing please direct towards him and not me. Thank you.

I think if you are going to use the Chaos Emeralds in the same way, there needs to be some sort of significant drawback or horrible risk involved with using such artifacts of great power. They shouldn't be treated like the Dragonballs where you collect them, use them, and do whatever you want without any problems.

Like Fleetway's Super Sonic? That's be cool
Anyway, I like the idea of the emerald being more dangerous than expected: in the segasonic series they're like the savior for all the troubles. In se3son, I expect them to be fatal. Afterall, they're not called "Chaos Emeralds" for nothing.

Good point.
The question is though, what drawback is harsh enough, but not to the point of being too risky to use?

That being said, there should be a danger behind using them, some kind of drawback. What would be interesting is maybe Sonic uses a Power Ring or so to try to stabilize the Emerald's power and in turn it turns him into Super Sonic. That would be interesting. I don't know what his drawback would be but it should be something that could scare everyone into never using them again.

How bout having Uncle Chuck or Rotor combine a Chaos Emerald and Power stone into one super stone, thus making Chaos Rings?
Just a thought.

Fleetway's Super Sonic ROCKED. I'd love to see something similiar in Sea3on, especially with how Sonic deals with it.
"Sure, you can have that unlimited power, go straigt ahead! Oh. But you're going to go murderous psychopath while using it and well, it'll auto-trigger whenever the stress gets way to high, have fun!"
The way Fleetway and SatAM Sonic handle it would be VERY different though. Fleetway Sonic never had friends per-se, just minions and admirers.

They need to have set limits. As long as they have that then I won't mind them being in the comic.
