@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Ian Flynn recently made a post on his blog and talks about some 'rumors' that he's 'heard' about.

QUOTE
''Not only are there three titles right around the corner, but there are some so new they don't even have titles yet!

Nintendo's new handheld system, the 3DS, will be featuring a Sonic game right out of the gate! Sonic will be running alongside many of Nintendo's premier mascots in the first foray into truly 3-D gaming!

And on top of all THAT, there are rumors of yet another title in the works.

Is this just confusion spinning out from the dizzying number of new titles? Or is there a secret title truly in development? Either way, now's a great time to be a Sonic fan!

And perhaps most important of it all: how will all this reflect on the comic? We'll all just have to wait and see!''

Now I know this is probably not a big deal. It might just be a bunch of rumors that cought on, but this is Ian Flynn we're talking about! So, if there really is a secret project in the works, it might to be related to SatAM/Archie considering that Ian, of all people, is talking about this. Maybe a series of games? Maybe Ian as head writer? Maybe just more comic adaptions? I dunno, I'm just letting out all of my predictions. What about yours?

I'd say there's a 95% chance that it just means there will be a comic adaptation.

Yeep. There's been a comic adaptation of almost every sonic game. Even the ones no one remembers. (I think 3D Blast got an entire special.)
"I really think of life as a great expression of joy. And if you take yourself seriously you're going to be defeated I'm afraid.
...Maybe that is the whole recipe of life, is to be in on the joke. Because life is a joke and if you're not in on it you're out.
But if you're in on it, you can make it." - Vincent Price

Hey, I love Sonic 3d Blast. For the Saturn anyways and with an analog controller.

Anyways, this being Flynn, I' ll take it with a grain of salt or maybe not take anything at all.

I'd concur and say it's pretty much definitely going to be an adaption the comic will do of the game - or characters in it. Nice as it could be, it doesn't make much sense for SEGA/Sonic Team to make a SatAM game, or even one based off the Archie comics. I think the very occasional reference like the 'SWATbots' in Chronicles is close as it'll ever get.

It did. The comic was just called "Sonic Blast", probably to avoid any confusion since nothing in the comic was 3D.

I'd sooner believe Amy Rose getting her own game before Satam gets the spotlight in a game.

Satam has been given the shaft since day 1 by Sega. thumbsdown_anim.gif

Its a shame really.

As for Ian being the main writer, I'm not exactly sure I'd want him behind the scenes.

He's not exactly a writer who pleases the fans more times than not.

If anyone should be writer of a Satam game, it should be Ben Hurst.

That guy is a class act when it comes to writing the Sonic Satam genre.

I agree that it most likely Ian means there will be some game adaptations in the comic, of some kind, in the future. Although I would love to see Sonic Sat a.m. get the game it deserves, though that probably will not happen. It probably is too late for hard core game fan to accept Sonic Sat a.m. but there is still hope for up and coming gamers.

I guess it looks like a comic adaption of either Sonic 4, Colors, or Free Riders is what that blog post was about. Sorry for the lame news guys, I'm just as disappointed as you are. sleep.gif Hopefully in the future SEGA will recognize their mistakes throughout the years and do something that would give SatAM a proper ending. We've held on to it since 1994 (in my case, 2003), something's gotta give soon.

Ehhh, I dunno... I think the Season 3 staff are doing a good enough job of that right now. wink.gif

Even if they could do it, I think SEGA need to prove they can write good plots on a consistent basis before it would be handed over to them. Right now it would be a bit like entrusting a priceless ming vase to a child that's recently overcome a decade long seizure, has had some promising signs, but isn't sure if he's completely cured yet.

It's not gonna happen, all the company cares about is SegaSonic (Adventure continuity for those who don't know) and SegaSonic only, no other continuities, especially our favorite one (SatAM), just the one with the ear-piercing voice of Jason Griffith (Adventure continuity Sonic)

Just like Capcom bred the crap out of Megaman X's success, Sega is doing the same thing with Adventure Sonic, so until Sega makes a new continity of Sonic, it's another sequel to Sonic Adventure after another........

After all, Sonic 4 is using Adventure Sonic instead of Classic Sonic (so much for the "Megaman 9" treatment)

A sonic 4 adaptation might not be that bad. That game is looking really good.

A SatAM game? Hah! They're going to have to lobotomize the concept before it could be marketable to the fans of the current gen Sonic games.

I'd love a Satam game, but let's be realistic, Sega will never let that happen. They're too busy trying to force there Japanese Sonic story canon down everyone's throat.
