So when FUS changed hands to the current owner(s) the front page was changed. This is all fine and dandy, it's very simple now compared to the relatively complex layout before. However, one of the features taken away from the front page was the collection of image button links to other sites including my own, Ozzie and Millie, SMS and so on.

Personally, I used to get something like 3 hits a day from that link. While I'm not mega-fussed that it be reinstated, I just wanted to point out that it was a useful link to have, certainly for those who still have a site they want to show off.

Does anyone want index page links back? Am I the only one? Is chief sending a tarantula in the post to me even as we speak for suggesting we piss-arse around with his creation?

Yeah, I did take it off. There was reasons behind it..mostly because they hadn't been updated since Sonique did it, and I really didn't feel the need to link to ozzy and millie and so on. Ive gone back and forth with the idea of re adding certain links of sites who wish to partner up in that way, however I'm even fairly pickey on that. I just don't like having some random "link" page.

If I do do it I'll probably end up putting them into some randomizer thing.. Kinda like the gallery images. Maybe show 2 or 3 in one go.. But yeah, it was nothing against anyone sites. I just took it down for a few reasons when we were making up the main page.

Yeah, I think over half the links were just random crap. And at the time when we were designing the site, we were in a bit of a rush. Trying to get everything 3rd party designed off the site, as we were running into problems with..well a lot. The design belonged to Rocky, other junk belonged to RTF.. We were on Rocky's server... So.. the site was actually designed and moved really fast so I wouldn't loose it. The links section was just.. disposable at the time due to what most the content in it was just linking to random stuff.


Like I said.. I probably will add that randomizer thing in for links. But.. not in the next week if you know what I mean. I kinda want to track down a bunch of sites and set up good communications before I do anything like that.

And I suppose if you take all the links off and wait for people to notice, the only people who ask to get them reinstated are people whose sites are still current, yeah?

Oh yeah, absolutely. To be honest, don't feel that you have to at all - it was more of an observation. I mean, the Rotor fansite isn't getting updated any more, so it's not life or death for me to get more visitors. It's just, people who see it seem to like it, and it's SatAM stuff.
