@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

So Ive currently started up a email interview (no you can't get ahold of him yourself) with Ben Hurst. So I figured... What questions would you ask him?

I'm obviously not going to ask him everything, but I figure the best 3 questions I see on here I'll ask.

So fire away.

This statement's been in the profiles for ages:

QUOTE
Ben Hurst mentioned that there would have been a 'big surprise' in store for Antoine in Season 3, though there was no mention on what that surprise is.

Whether the statement is true or not, I'd like to know, what exactly were the plans for Antoine in Season 3?

I'd like to know how they would've handled Snively in Knothole. Would he become goody-goody all the sudden? (I hope not!) Have strife with the Freedom Fighters? Be under some kind of watch or surveillance, locked up, etc? Make any friends? I've always been curious on how he would've fit in....

What writing projects are you currently working on?

Just how many studios have the right to SatAM Sonic the Hedgehog anyway?

What are your plans for future, non Sonic related projects?

Would you be interested in a Sonic movie instead of a television series? If so, what would change in your vision of Sonic's universe, whether it be in characters, backstory, or environment?
I believe in what I want to believe in, you believe in what you want to believe in, so when someone wants to believe in something, no one will know what to believe!
Believe it or not...

If SEGA/Sonic Team allowed you to do a Season 3, which characters would you have brought in with the current cast?

Oh, he would be. This subject has been brought up before several times.

As for some of the other questions posed here (what's he currently doing, plans for the future, and what not), they've been largely answered in some form or another in the past. Hurst has been a part of several discussions over the years, including a couple chats from SAGE four to five years ago. Hell, he even answered questions posed by us FUSers via phone during the second FUScon, back in 2004.

You can find those chats archived online; I think SMS has them, to name one such place. It would be a good idea to get at least somewhat versed so that one can pose fresher, more pointed questions.
There's only one CTM.

1. Was it true that Archie Comics asked you to write for a season 3 comic?
2. Do you have any plans right now to try to get Sonic SatAM back on the air?
3. After talking to different companies like Sega what do they think about reviving Sonic SatAM?

"Oui Oui, I am having zee question! You are being so too beautiful today, my princess!"

Seriously though; how many Seasons do you think SatAM would naturally have lasted until its story was fully told? (including the first and second Seasons)

I know that question's intended for Ben Hurst, but I think the answer would be "as many seasons as they could pay us for". smile.gif (And I think if he were to respond otherwise, it'd mean he's not being honest.)

After all, TV series always go on while they're pulling in the ratings, and they always stop when they don't. Live TV shows often get a finale episode because they have a short lead time, but they still always end for the same reason: because not enough people are watching, not because they are "done". Even if the quality drops, they will likely just keep on writing as long as they have enough viewers. (Cf. The Simpsons)

If we were instead to consider how long it "should" have been rather than how long it "would" have been, I doubt Ben Hurst or anybody else could have known that... writing SatAM would be like writing any story: you probably won't know where the end is until you get there. (Well, you might if you plan all the way to the ending, but Ben obviously didn't. And it's not uncommon for writers to ignore their plans when they get new ideas anyhow, so even if he had, it needn't mean anything...)

Oh, there's always exceptions. Buffy finished because the creator believed the story was 'done' (which is funny seeing as this is the ONLY tv show poor Joss Whedon never had cancelled), creator of Supernatural wanted to stop at five seasons but the studio said 'no, have a sixth one', and Lost, which is pulling in mega ratings, planned well in advance that the show's story will end at season six. So, I'm quite sure Ben would have some idea how many seasons he would have needed - if that's how he was approaching it. Of course it could be what the writers of Beastwars did and cuffed everything as they went along.

This one's pretty generic, but if SatAM was rolling again and the team asked you to return, would you accept? I wouldn't blame you if you chose not to.

What is the news on the front of when another season will be released? Is it possible to maybe just have it released on DVD as feature films like with Futurama or is this an issue relating to funding and a of yet there is no information on a possible future release for Season 3?
