If this happened 'Metal would have cemented himself as best Sonic game villain of all time, though he already is. Would have been pure badassery on his part, not because it's Amy getting killed but if he would have done it to any damsel in distress.

Sonic is going to save Amy Rose, he remembers the flashback of Vector giving Sonic the poison. Then he has an idea, he's going to poison Dr. Robotnik, he tries to find the poison, then he found it in his shoe. As he is going to poison the scientist, Metal Sonic grabbed it out of his hands and lets the captured pink hedgehog swallow the entire poison. Then the pink hedgehog chokes to death and that is the end of Amy Rose.

I think a better question would be is if Sega picked Sally to play that part instead of Amy, would the Sonic games be much better than they are now?

An even better question is: if Sally replaced Elise in 06 but the rest of the game was pretty much the same, would it be any better?

Infinitely better.

See, Sally wouldn't let herself get kidnapped that many times in a row (gaaah! How did the girl pull that off so many times?!), and she'd probably come up with a plan that, okay, would have to go awry at some point, but would be a better reason to head to Eggman's than to save the idiot princess. She's also be infinitely less annoying than Elise.

I don't know if even that could have salvaged that game due to the actual gameplay, though.

In response to this actual THREAD, though... I think it would be very sad if Amy was killed. I don't support the Sonamy ship, but I'm fond of Amy in a very different sort of way. I don't think Sega will be killing off Amy any time soon.

Gamma's arc would pretty much be ruined, and the Flickies that were controlled by Zero and the E-100 series would still be captured. Those robots might still be around as well.
Sonic wouldn't have been released from prison, and Shadow would not have been convinced to save the world from the ARK.
Sonic Heroes, they would not have... found Chocola and Froggy, and would be two Chaos Emeralds short, I guess?

Unleashed and Colors, there wouldn't be that much changed except for a MASSIVE shift in tone.

How would Amy have gotten herself killed anyway? And what continuity would this be? Im asuming its the Games. Since she can handle herself in both comics (Archie/Fleetway)

The land would finally rejoice in the death of Any Rose. Life as we would know it to be would return to a state of peace. All the people woould cry out "At last!!!!"


After there would be a two week long parade to honor this miracle. Heavy drinking and drug usuage would follow.

As much as I don't want Sonic and Amy together, I wouldn't want her to die either. I am not that cruel. I'd rather she be written out of the series by her leaving the freedom fighters and games or be paired with someone else.
