@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

Ha ha, I love Tails straining over Sonic's weight in the sixth panel. I don't think he ever carried Sonic in the cartoon, so this is kind of a first for him. tongue.gif

I like the fact that you included textures here, Salamander. It really makes a difference in conveying the decay of Robotropolis. In case you're not aware, there's a huge stash of textures at www.cgtextures.com if you need more. BTW, here's a tip for Tails'... uh... tails: try applying a Radial Blur to increase the sense of spin. This only works on perfect circles, so you'd need to paint his tails as a circle first, then use Free Transform to skew them into place.

Props to Gojira as well. The dialogue is spot-on and it's nice to see Tails take on a mission with the gang. The story definitely has me engrossed.

I think it happened once or twice, Glitcher, but it was a very rare occurrence. Glad you're enjoying the story, too. happy.gif

Anyway, another fine page, sala. Tails continues to be adorable, and I love how huffy Ant's pose at the end is.

Haha, poor Antoine. The last line from Sonic I think means that something is going to go wrong and Antoine's going to have to survive on his own.

I'm going to take full blame on the strip being late again this week. Ive had Salamander doing a lot of work concerning FUS this week so... I'll take full blame. The comic will be up this afternoon.

Two late strips in a row? Screw this forum, and screw you, Paul! Consider this my two weeks notice.

We're very lucky to have Salamander with us. smile.gif We (Paul and me) don't know shit about how to code this place, and Sala just rocks that much for helping us.

It's a shame we have to fire her next week though...

CRYING shame, that. She's very talented. But terrible as it is to lose an Artist, I think we all know who the REAL heart of this Comic is, so we should be OK in the end. happy.gif

Off-topic, but "The Heart's Lackey" would make an excellent name for a Rock Band.

I notice Tails' spinning tails are painted with a bit of motion blur on this page. I take it you liked my tip from last week, Salamander. I'm just full of useful advice. tongue.gif

I love Antoine's expressions here. I know I've said it before, but you do a wonderful job of matching the look of the characters from the show exactly. I also like how you painted the green building with an atmospheric silhouette gradient, but the perspective is a little warped. It's generally a bad idea to incline the top of a building upwards and the bottom downwards because it would produce a perspective bulge in the centre (which is absent on your page). It doesn't help either that the texture applied doesn't seem to obey any perspective lines at all. A better angle would be to draw the scene from ground level looking up at the monolith to emphasize its height.
There seems to be a bit of motion blur when Sonic lands and Antoine turns, but it's barely visible. You need to paint the area in between the lines with transparent white (or any light colour) so that they can be seen clearly, especially on dark panels:

Finally, don't become overly dependant on textures to do the work for you. They don't disguise the fact that the alleyway is composed of a few flat surfaces. Drawing a puddle, crack, or drainpipe here and there is an easy and effective way to add a little variety to the scenery.

Yeah, I struggled a lot with that machine/tower thing. Thanks for the advice, I need all the help I can get, especially doing perpective work.
I won't lie, the backgrounds on the bottom were rushed since I was running late.. I was gonna put some extra clutter on the ground to show where Ant picked up the pipe but.. just ran out of time.
Oh well, like I say to myself every week, I'm gonna work even harder on the next page.

Regarding the tower, I must apologize, salamander. I fear my script may not have given it the best description, and if that gave you any trouble for the page, I'm very sorry.

I agree with Glitcher, though. The expressions this week are absolute dynamite. happy.gif

I am sincerely in love with how you draw Naugus, sala. I know I've said that before back when he first appeared in #1, but seeing him again here...gah. SO awesome. That profile shot of his is just perfect. I also love how detailed you got with Naugus' ancient reading materials, it's just the look I was hoping for.
