When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

No! Why did you have to waste a whole page showing us what happens to Tails? Nobody cares about him. Sonic's in peril; I want to see if Naugus finishes him off.

I guess people were right about Mr. Cloak's role in rescuing Tails. The last line is telling, but the strangely bat-shaped wings and boots missing the iron plates are distinctly un-Knuckles. It could just be the folds in the robe creating the bat effect, but then he wouldn't be holding onto Tails if he's using his arms to glide. I hope Tails doesn't fall... again.

Knuckles has mechanical wings. He also decided it was time for new shoes. Sonic should do the same. Maybe super-speedy bunny slippers?

Nah, Bunnie was seen wearing bunny slippers in The Odd Couple... which is kinda creepy when you stop to think about it. Imagine if you were wearing slippers with human faces on them.

On a side note, does chapter 2 end after 25 pages?

Looks like the cloak guy is Knuckles from the dialogue, gliding, and the shoes. Eh, I kinda thought it was him when I first saw the cloaked guy. And those don't look wings, just his arms stretching out like his normal way he glides. But then again, we could be fooled. The only way to find out is to watch and wait. icon_e_smile.gif

It's pretty darn cool reading all the speculation on the Sea3on comments area. Our little comic sure has grown it's readership over it's first year!

I hope it's not Knuckles, or any other SEGA character for that matter. That would be too easy and really not worthy of this big reveal that's probably coming up. A new character based in SatAM's history would be better than borrowing a SEGA/Archie character.

I did like that it could be Knuckles based on the first panel of showing the cloaked figure, but then those arms branching out as wings in the final one make a nice 'Ha! Keep guessing!'.

"A new character based in SatAM's history"? Isn't that kind of an oxymoron? And more to the point, why are you speculating? I thought you were in on the story.

Nope, I choose not to read the scripts. I'm enjoying the story once a week along with everyone else. Only prior knowledge I have of Sea3on are the Short arcs, and even then and I'm planning on acting surprise just for the hell of it. cigar.gif

Odd, in the PM you sent me a few months ago you said, "What Gojira is writing is corroborated from a few of us". How much are you involved in the story?

Me? Absolutely bugger all. Gojira and I have just juggled across a few plot points between the Shorts and the main arcs for a bit of continuity. Gojira deserves all the credit (or criticism) for writing the main story. Like, he has just uploaded the script for the third chapter in the Sea3on staff area, but I ain't reading it.

So, if it sucks, Gojira is the one that has to write the formal apology, not me!

Late page week again, sorry.. this week's page is big (8 panels) and has a lot of special effects so it's taking longer. It'll be up Saturday at latest.

Oh no! If that's true, we'll have to raise the age rating of the comic to account for gore. sad.gif

Love the Power Ring effect this week. It's definitely faithful to the cartoon. I still believe Salamander is improving in adjusting colours according to the lighting conditions, such as the blue tinge on the first panel of Antoine. There seems to be an odd discrepancy in the sky - on panel two it's blue and on panel three it's red. Huh. eusa_eh.gif

It's a pity Salamander never comments on her work. I would like to hear if she has any inspirations in creating this comic (besides SatAM). I'm starting to think chief locks her in a cellar to do all the work while he takes all the credit.

Crikey, twelve panels this week! I know I clamored for more panels per page, but I didn't expect Salamander to include this much. That's a higher number than I've ever worked with, because it ends up making the page layout look cramped. Two out of three times, Mr. Cloak is obscured by Tails' speech bubble. In fact, shooting up to twelve panels from as low as four just a few weeks ago make me suspect that Salamander hasn't really planned this through. The chapter is nearing its end, so she's trying to squeeze in the rest of the story in the few pages she has left, which means she never prepared her work with a storyboard first. Storyboards are essential in visualizing the content of the comic and dividing up the panels in order to avoid problems like this. I never draw a comic without one. I guess it's too late to fix now, but I hope she's learned from this experience when she starts working on chapter 3.
