@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

My pet theory is that Rotor would get angry if Sonic would rip his slicker. (Hey, there must be a reason it's so big!)

You don't want to make Rotor angry. wink.gif

Wow, this is looking super sweet so far. The shot of Robotropolis on page 1 is especially gorgeous. I'm loving the greyscale and the ink shading-really nails the atmosphere. Can't wait for the next page~

Another excellent page. I particularly like how chal handles Sonic's expression here, effectively capturing his precise feelings with real nuance; panel #3 (which earns extra brownie points for a well-done "ghost" Sally) in particular works well.

I'm rather fond of how majestic-like Sally looks saying that off-handed comment. Since this is a thought and not a memory, it shows how Sonic must see her when she's berating him in that way. "Oh, think you're so fucking high and mighty, hey Princess?" Of course this all just my own warped thoughts on the matter; Jimmy's writing is surely not that deep enough.

Yay for the SatAM Sonic eye lids. Not many artists make that little detail.

I always figured Sonic actually looks up to Sally and that's why he teases her so much. A way to reassert himself in face of someone he feels is bigger and better than him, you know? Just my interpretation though, but that's why I chose to draw big Mind-Sally.

I have to apologize to Jim for not drawing the pacing, though, I kinda failed at it and then heard the happy swoosh of a deadline, so I want with a mugshot of Sonic. Sorry, Jim.

And everybody go and hug Salamander. It's incredible HARD to stay even close to model with the SatAM stuff, and she consistently does a great job on it! I envy her. ohmy.gif

Nah, that's an extremely minor change, and it looks like everything that was supposed to get across to the reader still gets across just fine, so no worries! When it comes down to it, getting the words exactly 100% correct is far more important to me than the actions and pictures. I figure the artist will know better than me as they're going what will work best on that part of it . . . and it's obviously true. I didn't write in a mental image of Sally, after all, and yet there she is, and now I'm kicking myself for not having thought of it because it fits perfectly!

Another excellent lookin' page, Lady Chal!
Cheers!

Ooh, a shout-out to my favorite episode. 8D I continue to enjoy how willing Jim is to explore the fuller depth of Sonic's emotional spectrum, and how effectively chal's art follows that lead.
