@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

Yes, the first short isn't even out yet, let alone the second chapter. But, we decided to get this one done early due to problems we hope not to occur again. Also because we have the scripts written out up to 3 shorts so far. So again, I'm sorry writters we don't need you.

What we do need however is a good artist. Someone who can post a lot of their work into this topic and show us what they got.

Now this is for 10 pages. Thats how the script is done for the shorts. We have 5 weeks to push a short out, no longer, and no shorter. I know a lot of you might be "oh but what if i need to draw things like this" well, fit it into 10 pages. The script its self shows what needs to be on each page so we go like that. Reason again, we only have 5 weeks to do this. Its a short, not a chapter.

Prices? 100USD for the full thing. If you are really good we can look into paying more. However don't expect us to be handing out 500 bucks or some junk for this. We aren't rich.

If we do choose you what do we need?

Well, once we pick you, you will get the script. We will also give you a deadline for all the comics to be handed to us WELL prior to the release date. That is why we are looking for people now, so we can toss in back up plans if needed. Less stress on this for us then as myself and John hate missing a release deadline.

Money will be given to you when we get the pages.

What do you need? Well, to beable to draw, colour, and be a good addition to our Sea3on by providing good work for our inbetween chapter shorts.
To get the money you do NEED paypal. None of this sending cash in the mail bull shit, or cheques, or whatever the hell else you might ask. Its paypal and thats it. Makes it easy on us, and easy on you.

So, I know there are a few of you out there wishing to apply. Lets see your stuff.

Thanks,

Paul

Thank you, Paul, for that Tony Soprano style job offer.

If anyone here does post their work, can you please post comic work - if you have any - as that will be the best way to judge if you can handle panel-to-panel story telling.

[EDIT] Because Paul is autistic I think I need to explain that "Reason again, we only have 5 weeks to do this. Its a short, not a chapter" does not mean the deadline to draw this Shorts is five weeks. Deadline will be in the months if it needs to be as long as the comic doesn't miss it's upload deadline.

*crackaknuckles* Let's try this again. biggrin.gif

This time, with Comics work, as asked for (and again, my reminder that I do not color digitally; if this makes my work ineligible, PLEASE let me know):

First, "Kitsune", a fancomic based on an excerpt from a great 'fic of the same name by the highly talented WingedHippocampus of deviantART (linked to in the full versions the pics link to):

Next, another 'fic excert comic, this time from Vilsy's "The Regulator":

"These hands of ours are BURNING RED! Their loud cry tells us..."
"To grasp happiness!"
"ERUPTING GOD FINGER!!! SEKI..."
"HA!"
"LOVE LOVE TENKYOKEN!!!"

Gojira: That's some tight panel work there, characters are a bit rough, but you definitely have an eye for comic flow. I think we'll make a comic artist out of yet! *Cracks whip*

Masterblaster: Ah! So you're the one behind those GhostBuster comics? I remember seeing them a while back. Top quality work you have there. If we don't end up needing you for an entire strip I would very much like to snag you up to design title, intro and credit pages for our main arcs when we publish them - all paid work of course.

MaRaMa: Nice to see you've done some comic strip work before. I like what I see. Only, of course, we would really need Sonic's model on par with the SatAM's style.

Thanks for all the quality work you guys, it's good to see some talent put their hands up for this. We will let you know as we get closer to needing an artist. smile.gif

You don't see exact Sat-AM work because I don't copy and make it my own style but I can copy any style on request. I'll try to do a quick sample in a while if you want. It has to be just like the main comic right? Like Sat-AM was turned into a comic?

I'd be happy to help. Here is my work to gander over
http://sonicsatam.co...?showtopic=1823

And I can do my best to adapt to the traditional SatAM bobble head style.

Here's a VERY rough group of sketches I pulled out in a couple of minutes just to see if I got it. You know how I can clean it up.

Is this alright?
I tried to keep from adding too much of my personal touches but some might be inevitable. ^^;

So nostalgic~

Always stick with the classics, I say.

But on a serious and less vague note than "It's too Sega!" . . . I dunno about the hands themselves - which look fine to me - but the cuffs around Sonic's gloves are definite Sega. Or new Sega, anyway. In SatAM, it's just the one roll, like the old Sega model. Otherwise, looks purty to me!
Cheers!
