Imagine you had to pose naked in front of your art class. The students probably wouldn't mind because they're used to that sort of thing, but you would feel deeply embarassed for publicly exposing yourself like that. You wouldn't be able to look at your classmates without being conscious of the fact that they've all seen you naked. It's basically how I feel about this stupid five-page comic that I both love and hate.

Is the comic THAT extreme? Oh well. I guess that's that. At least I'll see some of your work in Sea3on!

The requests and speculation are starting to get out of hand, so it's time I settled it. Look, although the fan service involved is not overtly sexual in nature, it does involve indecent contact with a minor. Alright? There, I said it. According to Chief, that sort of behaviour is not encouraged on FUS. In order to judge just how inapproriate it is, I sought a second opinion from another member who shall not be named. She told me she found the gratuity much lighter than expected, and in a sense she's right. There's no nudity or bodily fluids or anything involving sexual organs that you might find in a typical Rule 34 comic. So why am I so reluctant to share it? Because in many ways this comic reveals a very personal and private side of my fantasies.

So I guess that the panel(s) with the "indecent contact" can't be redrawn to edit out the offending content after all, right? I asked about that earlier, but it went unanswered, and I've been real curious if that could or couldn't be done since this whole thing started.

Oh well, here's to your Seas3on short whenever it may come!

You're not the first person to suggest that, Mr. Smith, but I think the idea is flawed. The story is essentially a thinly-veiled excuse to illustrate my fantasies, so removing the adult material would be like axing an orgasm from a porn vid. If I edited out the offending content, there would be no comic left.

And my Sea3on short is due out in mid-October. Mark it down, people!

I'm sorry, but I think banning the guy was way over the top. I know this place isn't a democracy, but I don't like the environment of if you get a little sassy with the mods, you're gone. It's the elitist vibe you guys said you didn't want. Don't get me wrong, I thought he was a total asshat in that art thread and I was even going to jump in and yell at him. But banning and firing him? Um...yeah. Way over the top, guys.

We were going to find a middle ground and talk it all over last night. I wanted to with John, and he did with me too apparently after thinking it all over at work. That was in till John got a few threats over the email. Getting a email after.. Thats fine.. We wanted to talk too, in fact we were going too. Getting threatened in it if we don't follow multiple demands.. Not so much.

When he first got banned I was totally on your side on this. I was one of the guys "jumping down [Glitcher's] throat" or however he put it in that one thread, but I thought his behavior was hardly ban-worthy. I was going to fire off an angry PM to John about how ridiculous the situation is and everything.

Once I saw how he threatened FUS, that changed. I'm totally cool with the ban now. Don't get me wrong, I don't want him to be banned, and aside from this recent incident, he was one of the coolest things this forum has ever had. But what he did in reaction to his ban was totally unprofessional, even childish. He didn't get his way, so he's throwing a hissy fit. That's not the kinda guy we need.

I can only hope Glitcher comes to his senses and sees what a baby he's being, do some major ass-kissing, and everything eventually goes back to the way it was. Knowing the sort of drama that goes on in this community, though, I expect it will always be a hope and nothing more.

I agree. It was way silly and over the top. By the time I finished work and came home, I felt very embarrassed about how I handled it. It's pretty unprofessional, hey?

For everyone's information, I replied to Glitcher's email and shot down his little threats and demands. I did, however, offer him his Sea3on commission back; I shouldn't have let something personal (as silly as it turned out to be) get in the way of business. That was childish of me and I am sorry for letting you guys down. I don't know about reactivated his account though. I mean, how do you go to that after the person attempts to blackmail you - even if the blackmail was very... lame? Maybe he flew of the handle himself and overreacted, or maybe that's the kind of person he really is, I don't know. It's not about him coming to kiss my arse and grovel for his account back, it's about whether or not FUS needs someone like that who can turn against it so easily after a crazy ADMIN reaction. Who knows what today may bring, right? Ya never say never.

On the subject of arse-kissing, I really appreciate that you guys don't kiss mine especially when I do something not-so good. I rather have friends that will tell me the truth rather than smile and blindly agree with me. Except for you, Paul, my little love slave.

The thing about this forum is I feel comfortable saying what I feel, unlike RL, so sometimes I just say it without much tact I'm fine with the ban as well now, seeing that there was more to it than the surface stuff I saw. (I wouldn't have thrown a total fit over it in the long run, after all it is your guys' board and you can do as you please, but had to voice the little bit of dissent I did feel.)

I'm unsure what we'll do at this point in time. I asked Glitcher if he wanted to finish his commission, so until I hear back from him I'll leave it on pause for now. The pages he submitted are pretty bloody good, I'll tell ya that. And it would be a shame for the comic, and for everyone else concerned, if it was left unfinished.

I was a bit unsure on where to put this, feel a bit silly to turn into some sort of massive FUS headline announcement seeing how it was rather low-key to begin with. And since it went semi-public here I’ll just use this space and be done with it.

Glitcher’s account has now be reactivated. Through emails and such we’ve both decided things were said and things were done, and it’s better to just get over the drama and clean slate the whole ordeal. So, with that said, welcome Glitcher back. And, please, everyone, let’s just leave the matter behind us, no need for anyone to backseat mod or start flicking the monkey poo around.

Long story short, John and I reached an out-of-court settlement of $150'000 to make sure this sort of argument doesn't flare up again. It should never have reached the point that it did, but you know, being sent to the penalty box for a few minutes helps me score with the chicks. Now, concerning certain... uh... threats I made to John, I wanted to clarify on that point to make sure there's no lasting damage. Here's an extract of an email I sent to him:

Ha ha ha! I was only bluffing about those threats, John. You know as well as I do that blackmail would only vindicate your actions. I've taken so much heat from mods over the years, I thought I could scare one into conceding with a little leverage for a change. But I'm not stupid or vindictive enough to go through with it. In fact, I don't even have the script for Mara's short. I was bluffing about that too.

Had I known you would take the matter public, however, I might not have tried that trick. Now everyone sees me as some sort of underhanded scoundrel and is congratulating you on banning me. That makes it a little difficult for me to return, and I doubt they would be receptive to any explanation I have to offer. Letting me back on the board will be perceived as an act of mercy towards a supposed troublemaker. You see my problem, don't you? If I come back now, pretty soon there will be nothing left but a Glitcher-shaped chalk outline.

Anyway, I thought people would be more understanding if John vouches for this claim. I never intended to sabotage Sea3on, it was just a pressure tactic that appears to have backfired. Oh well, live and learn. Next time I'll try strapping a bomb to my chest and taking hostage... ohhhh, let's say furrykef. Thanks for proposing I do some arse-kissing, son.
