No, it does not Ben. Tell that to the woman and teens stuck in Mormonism...you know how high the suicides rates and depression are in that religion? There is no hope in it: it's pure legalism... Compare:

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them." - Ephesians 2:8-10, The Bible

With that dangerous caveat they cram in a back breaking burden on their devout. Where a Christian does good out of grattitude for what God has done for him, a Mormon must do good deeds to earn a place in Heaven. And note that Joesph Smith contradcits him

The free gift of salvation becomes a burdensome gambit of crazy rules (secret temple rituals, baptism for the dead, geneology hunting, a necessity to be married. And look at these belifes...

1.) The belief that a woman's sole destiny is to give birth to have spirit babies for all eternity. To be a man's sexual doormat.
2.) That sterile woman are "forsaken" and must be servants for all eternity (unremarried divorcees are stuck with this as well).
3.) That black people are cursed to not be as the book or Mormon calls "white and delightsome" because of staying "nuetral" in a spirtual battle between Jesus and Satan.
4) That Joesph Smith said that are people that dress like Quakers that live on the moon and live to 1000... (again just look at that things I sent you and explore around a bit).
5.) Elohim had sex with Mary to make Jesus. The birth was not virginal.
6) That Jesus, a pologamist, met native americans after he was crucified and that there was a civilzation of you guessed it, "white and delightsome" fellows like Moroni (the gilded figure atop their temple) that were brutally sluaghtered by the darker natives. Note the Smithsonian has officially stated that there is not evidence for Mormon claims when comes to archeology. Tell me Ben, how many dig sites from these said whiter and more "civilized" cultures are in Boston?
7) That you are given "holy-undergarments" to keep you from sexually sinning. Seriously...my dad while during Basic Training was stuck with a Mormon bunk mate who had to put these on everyday. During Red Phase.


I have barely scratched the surface. We could discuss Smith's disdain for how organized religion actually helped start all this....well, disorganized religion. And his supposed translation of "The Book of Abrham" from Egyptian Papyrus, which is now seen by modern scholars as a unified fruad.

And you wouldn't say something that blaze, Ben, if you have read the suicide letters. I have... Like I said...it's a very burdesome religion. I know of a poor boy that murdered himself, having no solace when dealing with his fualts and his adolescence. They have the Law, but not the Gospel. I ask you humbily to retract your statement.

As for offense, I sincerely intend none. But my postion is like that of a doctor who must tell someone someone they have cancer. It's going to hurt, that's dreaded news...but if I don't tell you...it's going to hurt a lot worse. The needle bites the skin, but gives you healing medicine.

Back on track: Sonic completes Sal, Sal completes Sonic. Like Liberty and Responsibilty you can't have one without the other. Freedom means nothing without constraint and realization of your nature. A fish that jumps on land is not free; it's dying. Sonic shows Sal that she is free to do what she wants with her life. He is like the wind and blows where he wishes. Yet Sal shows him their is always a cost for our actions, and we gotta use our brains (be aware of our nature) to live that liberty up to full. That's real deep, I know; but it best explains all the potential narrative power of their relationship in comparison to all other options.

As a hero of Mobius Sonic has potential, and as a girl I can't argue with wanting a hero. I just think that a princess, tomboy or not, deserves someone a little steadier than Sonic. Sonic is a run free and taste life, which is good in in own right. Sally NEEDS more of that in her life but she also needs someone who can buckle down and be with her through the boring responsibilities. Sonic has shown to get bored and antsy when forced into that, and worse he has even refused to do it, even for her in some cases. She deserves better than that. 

 

... Though while I'm on it, Sonic CAN be that man in the future. He has the potential to mature into that man and Sally may influence him to that... given. But if Sonic doesn't change Sally's soon going to be leaps and bounds out of his league.
