Alright, so we want either our own program written up, or someone to point us in the direction of software that will do the job for us. Now we are willing to pay for both of these, the program, or a program to be made specificly for us.

Now what we are looking to do is host peoples webcomics on FUS. Have a similar program to comic genesis, or what not. Where a member can create a account and make his own comic site using our website for a host. Nice of us isn't it? But we have one little problem... We need the software to do this.


So I offer you all this, and please, tell your friends. We will pay to have software written for us. We will pay to have a program that is already in existance. Myself and John are really wanting to host your comics. So please, help us find out how to.


If anyone knows anything on this..please post here.

I noticed for the s3 comic you are using wordpress. That already has a fair amount of the functionality you are looking for I believe. I'll look around for a plugin or two that may help. Granted I know you are looking for something a little more robust where the user has more control over the appearance and what not, but its just a suggestion for now.

Wordpres MU + comic press should give you guys exactly what you want.

I'm not sure if comic press runs with MU, but maybe it can be made to play nice. Now, I hate comic press with a fiery passion, so it might be best just to use a wordpress MMU install and use the wordpress intern display options - they're well thought out and implemented by now.

How quickly do you need the code? Time's money, after all.

Right now I'm busy drawing for you guys, but it might be that I can take the theme I'm writing for trarr.net (minus the bilingual code, of course), add a SIMPLE configuration page, where the user can change the background and header and punch it in shape for use with Wordpress MU. Trarr.net itself is down due my old host kicking me off, but John should remember the page.

I can also install wordpress MU and the theme for you, if you want.

If you're interested, I can look deeper into this.

I need something that people can just sign up and go on making a comic page. So all automatic.. Nothing for me and John to do besides go "hey new comic".


Of course we still want the power to delete and mod these said comics.

Not to drag on about wordpress, but it can be set up to do that. Simply allow users to register with or without admin approval(depends on how much work you want to do). Then allow these users to make posts by default. With the right addons every user would have his or her own section and their comics could be filtered by tags and key words. Or you could just let Kef program some stuff for you, either way you should get what you need which is all that matters.
