@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

A musician to try and do this Sonic theme in this Splinter Cell style. It would be nice to see what they can do with it lyrics-wise, but otherwise I am happy with instrumental because I know the two styles will be hard to merge as it is.

I'd be most interested in doing this. I've been trying but it's indeed pretty hard. Do you want it to sound threatening like Splinter Cell or 'victorious' like SatAM? Do you want heavy guitars or muted? Do you want me to copy the guitar riff from SatAM?

Hmm that's difficult to say. I'd normally say threatening like Splinter Cell, so it can be used in episode, but I wanted it as an end credits theme too, which would require something more victorious. Any chance of doing both ways? ^///^

Also a threatening Splinter Cell style version of Robotnik's theme would be rawk.

I can't help you out with anything like music or voice acting. In all honestly I'm a lazy ass. Between work, watching my daughter, and other stuff I get up to, thats good for me.

But if you want anything from FUS, like I said feel free. As well, if this serries does take off I will be willing to advertise it on the site. I'll even go as far to talk about using FUS as a mirror for video's and downloads. Myself and John do have a buisness account and we are not affraid to use it.
However of course the thing needs to be done first.

Forgive me for not being *too* optomistic and tossing down everything here. Ive just seen projects like this fly by a few times. Ive stayed away from those too, watching people toss down everything to get nothing. I guess I can't stay away and watch from a distance as I'm now suppose to do as much for the community as I can, but I'll be cautious. No offence, I completly wish you luck on this, and will help with whatever FUS has to offer.

Just don't expect your own section in the forum anytime soon (this is directed to my members, not you. You are probably doing a big "...huuuhh?" right now haha)

That's cool man, real life comes first and quite frankly I didn't expect everyone to jump on board with voice acting and music, they are quite specific talents smile.gif

Wow, really? O.o That's... an incredible offer. I shan't take it, at least not atm because the project needs completing xD But I shall bear it in mind for later. Thanks man.

That is more than understandable. I watched Richard Kuta swagger his 'thang' about for years on end (4 years was it?) and in the end we got a somewhat quick Flash trailer in August 2009 and nothing else since. I believe Kuta himself even quit the project.

All I can do for now is promise you this isn't going to end up like those other projects, which may be telling by my attitude towards it. I have no great illusion that my work will revive SatAM, bring it to the masses or create some form of new series based off of a small-time possible internet phenomenon (And by phenomenon I mean weird videos lol Not media sensation). Of course if SatAM Fisher were to bring about some new series, bring in some more fans or get featured in officiality somehow that would be fantastic. But it's such an impossibility as far as I can see that it's far from my goal. Unlike others my goal is simply to release a series of cartoons on SatAM Fisher. No more grandeur than that.

I do still need assistance with audio, and I have asked here, on SMS and on Sonic Paradox for voice actors and musicians. So far I have a couple of offers, but no actual audition mp3s or music files, which is cool because these things take time and I understand that. But I am also more than aware of how wary people are of any SatAM based project, especially considering the history of broken promises SatAM Fisher has as a starting block. It's gonna be a rocky road getting the audio support, but ultimately should be worth it. If people don't step forward in time I will have to do (rather bad) temporary voices for every character and hope that a completed episode will spur people on to offer their vocal services.

Having said that, the first episode will take a long(ish) time to complete, due to having no pre-made painted backgrounds. Everything in Episode 1 will be bespoke. When we get to later episodes, we can use existing background paintings and just animate over the top of them immediately, which will speed up production. We have entered SatAM Fisher in for Summer of Sonic this year, and Episode 1 should be complete by then (We estimate) and if so we will use SoS to be the first time anyone will see the entire episode 1 of SatAM Fisher. That's the plan anyway tongue.gif
Between now and SoS, we will be releasing small things to keep interest high and let people know it's still underway. Some painted backgrounds, maybe a brief animation or two, and a trailer (which will be the fully animated opening sequence for you all to sample) and we'll see what else we can do wink.gif

I am indeed a bit confused, I don't understand why I would ever get a forum for SatAM Fisher XP
There's been quite a bit of talk about external uses for SatAM Fisher. It's been suggested I send him in to be used for Archie, getting the series made official and released through DiC etc etc. While it would be nice, my first interest is in getting a completed episode xD I'm not asking for anyone's faith, space or money. But hopefully some forumer's vocal and musical talents would be much appreciated.

I have looked at this thread every day since it started and I was defiantly skeptical at first. While I haven't been around long enough for all of the other failures, I have come to grips with likely hood that the show would never see I revival no matter how much anyone wanted it. After reading everything it seems you are committed to this, which is unusual. More over, you don't seem to be full of yourself, which from what little history I have learned is a common trait amongst revivalist.
Anyway I guess my whole point is I think the idea is very cool and I wish you the best of luck. I am certainly no musician, but I would probably give voice acting a go if for no other reason then to say I tried. I think your perspective on this is very down to earth and the fact that you are creating a parallel story is very entertaining and perhaps more interesting than a third season would be. If you would like any help I certainly wouldn't mind providing any. I in some senses dabble in a little of everything, but am admittedly not good at in particular at anyone thing. Regardless, I look forward to seeing more and best of luck to you and your team.

I know how it feels trying to piece together all the talents for all the little jobs to get a project off the ground (took the better of a year tracking down all my voice actors), so I'll help pass onto you with anyone I know that may like to help ya.

Jim Doe does a decent Snively voice, and Zephyr has provided some top-notch theme music for me. They are both members here, though not heavy posters so they more than likely have not seen this thread, but you'll certainly get them through a private message. Or I can nudge them in this direction for you if ya prefer.

Mark, my Robotnik voice - who was pretty damn close to Jim Cummings in my opinion - is not a member here and has long since stopped answering his email. So, can't help you there I'm afraid.

I was able to find a good bunch of auditions from this website a while ago, and I'd recommend it as a good place to start if you're having trouble finding that specific voice you just can't get http://voiceactingalliance.com/board/

I took one of the instrumental songs I made myself and turned it into a Splinter Cell-style. I awared my band members and they agreed to play it. I'm writing sheets and tabs at the moment and the next time we'll have a repetition, we'll rehearse and record it. You'll here from me again.

I would be more than happy to hear your voice acting rehearsals. You can either post them here or reach me on Skype. My name on Skype is Roareye.
Thank you for the compliments. I tend to find the same of people who come to revive SatAM, they tend to be younger people who will save the show. Almost that they are young, new and want to garner everyone's instant love immediately by proving their worth by being The One to revive SatAM. I'm actually 23, so not that young, and also have nothing to prove with this series. I already work for Summer of Sonic, get invited places by SEGA and have a lot of friends in the community. This project is fun, it's a gift and a way to annoy a friend of mine. I am an artist in many fields and I have one of my scripts being performed on stage at a Drama Festival in June next year, and my writing with Dark Dreams Studios is where my life focus is going to be.

Having said that I want to make the show the best it can possibly be because it is of a character people can learn to love, I have some flexibility in what I can do with him but also nod back to issues and plot points already established in canon to excite older fans. In terms of writing issues, this is a beautifully fresh challenge. And as people will see from my writing when my novels and scripts are published, I tend to steer my boat into the storm of challenge tongue.gif

Sounds great man. As for payment, your drummer has to be kidding tongue.gif Miranda is working her arse off on all the backgrounds and animation for free, I don't know if I'd pay for a single song. Since I am new to the whole voice acting thing, do you have any material to read from? It obviously doesn't have to be from your script, but I am not really sure what your looking for so I would like to try to get as close to the persona as I can. Otherwise I can just make something up I suppose.

Robotnik: Morning Snively. Did you sleep well?
Snively: Erm... I did sir, I’m so sor...
Robotnik: (Turning the chair to face him) I’m so glad, Snively. I would hate for a nightmare to... make you late.
Snively: But sir, Cluck came into my quarters and broke my alarm!

Robotnik has suddenly turned round and gripped Snively by his jacket, bringing them nose to nose in anger.

Robotnik: I know that Snively, you told me that yesterday, did I say that would be an excuse for lateness!?
Snively: Ah-aa! No sir, no you didn’t your obese graciousness.

Robotnik lightens his grip and sighs

Robotnik: But don’t worry Snively. I’m not mad.
Snively: Y... you’re not, sir?
Robotnik: No. Because I know you will gladly work the next few days without sleep to make it up to me. (Pulls Snively in menacingly)
Snively: Yes sir...

Robotnik drops him and reclines back into his chair.

Robotnik: And people think I’m without pity, Snively.
Snively: Oh they definitely have you wrong sir.
Robotnik: NO Snively! (Self satisfied)They have me just right.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There you go, it's a small segment from the first SatAM Fisher script. Feel free to use it for audition parts for Robotnik and Snively smile.gif
Hopefully the writing of the characters meets how you believe they would act. This is from the first episode, which mixes with Season 1 so Snively isn't hateful of Robotnik yet or making prophetic asides.
This story begins halfway through Sonic Boom and has large references to Sonic and Sally. The episode is currently called Bear Boom, cos it sounds like bare bum. tongue.gif

Wow! That's a really good likeness of Sally O.o

Okay if you are willing, I would like you to be my voice of Sally Acorn in SatAM Fisher biggrin.gif
One thing however, Sally isn't in every script. The Knothole Freedom Fighters are not the main stars of the show, but they will be featured several times. smile.gif

Okay so here is the current Cast Listing for SatAM Fisher. Anybody who fancies a go at any of these roles, please submit your voicework here or to roareye@gmail.com

SOUTHERN/EASTERN FREEDOM FIGHTERS
SatAM Fisher - Paul Joscelyne
Lambert - Needs to be an authorative black voice, like in Splinter Cell. Samples of this are in the SatAM Fisher BETA Trailer too.
Cat - Older, semi hushed. Watch this video and hear his original voice at time 4.42 onwards.
Dominic - Rory Joscelyne This may be recast. He needs a cocky self-important voice with a view of how great a hero he is. Sonic-like attitude but without the charm.

KNOTHOLE FREEDOM FIGHTERS
Sonic - You guys should know this voice by now wink.gif
Sally - Morgan (FUS)

OTHER FREEDOM FIGHTERS
Ari the Ram - As he is in the episodes.
Lupe the Wolf - As she is in the episodes.

VILLAINS

Dr Robotnik - He needs to be dark, gravelly and as you remember him from SatAM. The script is written to accomodate his cold nature and sudden bursts of rage.
Snively - Again as you remember him. His voice should be like this video.
Swatbots - Robotic and authorative.

This is the cast list as it currently stands, however it is likely that more classic characters will require voices as the series develops. The idea is more to build on the Southern/Eastern movement more than going over old ground with Knothole, but it is very likely that more and more voices for the original cast will be needed for later.

Thank you, and sure, I'd love to voice Sally. happy.gif I will do my very best to be prompt as work keeps me busy at times, but if I'm going to be a little late with handing my lines to you, I will let you know ahead of time and let you know when you can expect to have the lines. smile.gif I will never never be weeks late though. Just a few days at most. Sally not being in every script would work for me as, again, work keeps me busy sometimes.

Whenever you need me to do lines and in a specific manner, you can PM or email me with your script for Sally and instructions. I check both often. smile.gif

Sorry to have kept on the quiet side lately guys, this project is still alive and well smile.gif
What I am doing at the moment is making it a community project that people can get involved in on all levels.
Actually the scripts are half-done. Key plots are known. The first episode during Sonic Boom, an episode where he bumps into his estranged wife, an episode explaining Fisher's de-roboticisation in Blast To The Past, an episode on the events of The Doomsday Project and the two part special of him tracking down his daughter in the start of SatAM's unmade Season 3 (Being as accurate as possible to the known information from that season).

Community areas;
Main Theme: T-Bird and RockAngel

Voice Acting: Still searching for artists (Sally and Fisher cast)

Backgrounds:
ROBOTROPOLIS
Main aerial shot of Robotropolis (Taken by Becky the Hedgehog)
Outside main power station dome
Inside Prison Cell corridor
Shot from inside lift, looking up at open hatch
Inside power station dome, facing huge mainframe computer (Balcony walkway above large ground floor)

Animation Cells:
ALL NEEDED

As time goes on, more will get done and things will move forward more rapidly. The main thing for me is the backgrounds which need to be 2304 x 1296 in size, but they can be just lineart if people don't want to colour something that large. My colouring skills are great but my ability at drawing lineart is terrible.
If anyone wishes to help, please do. I already have some big names in the community involved and everyone will get equal credit. smile.gif

Roareye Black.

Big names being Becky the Hedgehog and T-Bird.
Becky is one of the most popular, well-known artists in the Sonic fandom.
T-Bird is a writer on TSS and is responsible for putting the fan base in contact with Jun Senoue, and basically being a great Sonic Merch whore tongue.gif

I wasn't meaning anything above big names in the fan base lol, sorry if you thought I meant more.

No, I was just expecting people from the fanbase. I don't know either of those people but, really not suprising. I'm not active in the fanbase outside of what I do for FUS.
