@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

So first I'll mention a few updates we have done/are in the process of doing:

The Wiki is currently under construction. I know a lot of you have missed our Wiki since we kind of misplaced it during the server move unsure.gif but.. It will be up soon, and will hold a lot more information then before. Also better designed, and so on. I'm not going to make the FUS Wiki fully public, however if you want a account on it and can contribute some stuff I'll give you a account. One of the reason's why I'm not making it fully public is there are some people who know how to use Wiki stuff a lot who.. Don't exactly like myself or John, and has edited info on FUS elsewhere before to spread bad info about us. One example, the Sonic Retro incident. HA! Anyways,

Another update, The "Gallery Pic Of The Moment" that you find on the main page now links to that gallery pic. It didn't before but Salamander yelled at it or something and now it does. So Yay Salamander!

F3...One day I'm sure

For those of you who are new here, or just didn't notice, we do have our own youtube account now. So, take a look, subcribe to us, and spread the word on other sonic/satam channels. You can find out account here http://www.youtube.c...sUnitedForSatAM
One day the main page will get a link to our youtube account as well.

Screenshots. We are missing two episodes for them. You can find the screenshots in our gallery on the forum, but it is missing two episodes from season 1. So if you wish to contribute to FUS, please take some screenshots for those 2 episodes and PM the bunch to Morgan. Just .zip them so they are easy to get.

FUS con planning is finally underway, you can find the topic on that pinned in the news section on the boards.

Now finally, Ive asked this a few times but I will keep asking this as we keep adding new material. We want FUS to have everything our members want to see on it. Have our site your main stop for anything SatAM, or related. The more we do, the more you get to see on the site. So I'm asking you. Be you a longtime member of the boards, a new member, or even someone who has not yet joined, but just reads through the site time to time. Post what you want to see in here, or email me at Chief_FUS@hotmail.com. We want to make FUS better, so the more ideas you all have and share with us Admins, the more we can do, and the better we can become.

Thanks,
Paul

A satisfying list of updates, I might be interested in a Wiki-account once it's finished.

One little suggestion: Maybe screenshots shouldn't be gallery pics of the moment. I think it'd catch the eye of the visitor sooner if it would only show fanart. And some screenshots are just uninteresting landscapes or strange angles. Just a little nitpicking, I think you're doing a great job so far.

I showed it who's boss around here.
I'm surprised I even got it to work. I had to rewrite the php script to grab the link in the gallery. And I don't know php. I'm just that good. cool.gif

Thanks to btstlouis, we now only need the....other episode...whichever one that is. I'm too lazy to go look. And I'll have the ones for Sonic and Sally uploaded soon.

Edit: I think we're good; getting the last episode from Radio. smile.gif

Edit #2: The screenshots section is now complete. smile.gif

I think it would be cool to have a section of the site "showcasing" SATAM stuff outside of the cartoon.

Like have a bunch of clips, art, and music from the Sega World Show in Sydney. Like all the SUPER DUPER EXTREMELY RARE SALLY PLUSHIES!!11

Shots of the Sally cameos and stuff in Spinball and AoStH would be cool too. I have a bunch of Sally toys from this silly bathtub soap promotion. Within it are SATAM sallys on jet ski's, surfing, and a sally finger puppet.

And of course, maybe a few scans of Archie's Sally, maybe some Spaz and Art scans as they were some of the best sally drawers on the comic.

I think that it would be great to showcase the other venues in which SATAM has had a influence in.

Not to mention the canceled Sonic Mars stuff and that SATAM robotnik sprite in that one arcade game. And the Julian design from SU.

I think it would be cool addition to the site, like a "SATAM cameos" section or whatever.

It would make this little kid really happy. :^D

I must have missed the memo on the plans to transform FUS into a Sally fansite.

To be fair, the actual suggestion of that post is to include a section about SatAM merchandise and appearances outside the cartoon 'n' comics. masterblaster just used Sally-centric examples.
"These hands of ours are BURNING RED! Their loud cry tells us..."
"To grasp happiness!"
"ERUPTING GOD FINGER!!! SEKI..."

Maybe so, but it was still a good opportunity for snarkasm!

Snarkasm is like Jell-O. There's always room for it. :3

I hate Jello...

:^P

No really, I think it would be a great addition to the site.

Take this current Sally item on ebay right now…

RARE Sally fig

This is probably, if my information correct, one of the earliest versions of Sally pre SATAM out there…in figure form. And any fan of the StC universe can tell you….even Sally Acorn is represented in Europe as well.

And the only real reason why I used Sally as an example is that Sally is the first thing I think about when you mention “Satam”, for me at least. Same for Rotor, Snively, Bunnie…

Not so much for Sonic or Tails. As they were basically in every form of spin off franchise and virtually every game…But the Sally, Bunnie, Rotor stuff are all pretty RARE to be seen OUTSIDE of the DiC Cartoon. That makes them unique, as characters, to be represented as flagship elements universal to the term “Satam”.

And one of the reasons I posted that Sega World pic is that, I’m sure there was at least ONE person on this site that hadn’t seen that picture before.

How cool was it that SATAM Sally was made into a 5 ft statue at a theme park for Sega?!

And I'm sure that some people here didn't know that Sally was in AoStH. Pink Sally that is.

It would be cool if there were a section dedicated to the various “cameos” outside of the cartoon and would show that the history of SATAM and its influence are not JUST related to the DiC cartoon itself…but in many toys, comics, merchantdise, and hidden sprites and whatnot throughout the world and video games.
