@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Here is a project that I completed some time ago, truely the first of it's kind. Check it.

It's fully functional and comes with many features...

Concealed Lazer

Radar Dish

Line In/Line Out Data Ports

Floppy Drive

USB Data Port

So yeah, I thought it turned out great and have started other SATAM related prop projects.

Here is a quick parting funny pick...kinda cute in a way.

Enjoy.

But will it blend? Good work in progress.

I think you might want to paint some of the buttons to match the colours, and fix the size of one of the buttons on the bottom right group. I wouldn't call it complete, but it makes for a nice work in progress snapshot.

@ Val

Well I was shooting for an Archie Sonic look with the two tone colors, but I included all the functions that the SATAM version had. Some of the buttons are "off" but all this was cut by hand. To make it really precise I would need to use a CNC machine or router to get crisp details and proper sizing.

But then again, what is "proper sizing"? All of the pulled screenshots from SATAM show Nicole in a different shape in different episodes. I just took a best guess with the sizes and ran with it. I scaled it to fit a human hand. It would have looked "stupid" if I had scaled it to Sally's hand. It would be smaller then a post it note. At least now I could have this clipped to my belt and people would think it's a new PDA/Cellphone thing, which is better IMHO.

@Cheez

Well, I have some preety cool SATAM hobby stuff coming down the pike and thought that FUS might like to see what I got going on my workbench. There is too much snow on the ground now and is too cold. But when it warms up, I will be able to show more progress pics.

Here are some quick shots of my Nicole build up.

I have made other Nicole "versions" then my "Hero" prop.

I have also made a "stunt" Nicole PDA, a "gold" plated PDA, and a "generic" PDA.

By proper sizing, I meant that the bottom row of the lower right group has the leftmost button at least 10% larger then the other two buttons in terms of surface area. Coarse sandpaper could fix that easily.

If anybody remembers that one odd FUS contest that I hosted 4 - 5 years ago then you will know exactly what I got coming up next update. Funny, that it's taken me 4 - 5 years for me to get to this stuff. I always wanted a Nicole to play with as a kid, I used this stupid toy from burger king I think it was. Just a small orange comm unit thing...sad thing is,I think I still have that somewhere.

Now for the last of my Nicole pics...first up 24K Nicole.

Then Generic Nicole, sans sporty features.

And then "stunt" Nicole. Basically generic Nicole sans belt clip. This is the one I'll take to cons and whatnot, and can be manhandled. The Hero version is just too fragile...too many delicate parts.

Any Sally cosplayers here? Would anybody want one? I gotta few left if any body is interested. They make good paperweights..haha.

I'd love one, but sadly have no means of getting one for some time.
