I know I'm psyched for this one. I loved the Advance and Rush series, so this is right up my alley - brand new graphics with good ol' gameplay. The old sound effects and the goal-signpost at the end were nice touches too. Can't wait to hear more about what's in store for Sonic 4.

Episodic games: When we don't have enough ideas to release it all in one go, but we know you'll pay full price each time anyway.

Now that you've mentioned Half Life 2, I'm picturing this game being about Sam Hedgehog Who Was Sonic Hedgehog's Brother.

I just wanted to tell you that the hardest thing I've faced
Wasn't the teasing or the pain
It was convincing myself I wasn't stupid, strange, or lame
And helping others do the same.

I hope the game plays well. No stupid gimmicks. I liked Sonic Rush 2 I played last year, even that stupid Aussie chick in it (the accent was terribly cute), so something like that -only better- would be great. And Sonic 2 special stages. And no voice overs.

I don't care how 'modern' Sonic looks. I just want a fun game. Is that so wrong?

I'm just upset that it's supposed to be downloads only, which means I cannot get my hands on it. THIS makes sad Rina sad.
Otherwise I love the graphics and the details - it's exactly what Sonic's supposed to be.

Never fear! I'm sure some dodgy bugger out there will rip into a ROM for the PC. That's what I'll be waiting for seeing as I can't console download this thing either.

*On the plus side, YAY IT'S SONIC 4 THAT'S SO AWESOME THANK GOODNESS SEGA'S FOLLOWING CAPCOM'S EXAMPLE AT LONG LAST!!! The style, the feel, the music...it's wonderful and captures the old-school Sonic spirit just right. As well, my inner storyteller is most intrigued not only by SEGA's promise that the plot of the game continues on from S3&K, but also by that "Episode 1" tag...
*On the negative side, that "Episode 1" tag has my inner gamer nervous. The episodic format works well enough for point-and-click games, which work best in bite-sized chunks anyway, but for it to work with a Platformer, SEGA's going to have to balance the amount of content per episode VERY carefully, IMO.
On the whole, then? Quite excited, but nervous that SEGA will still find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. lD;

Well to be fair, the implementation of the homing attack is poorer game design.

How do you think the Homing Attack should be implanted?
