@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

Who else thought when Donovan the nazi millionaire when he drank from the wrong grail as he was dying, he looked like Christopher Lloyd before his eyes sunk into his head?

I don't have a copy of this move and I'm not really much of a fan of this one, so I never really payed that much attention to it.

Ah, the film dumbed down a lot of characters from the first film to put a more comedic spin on the franchise, which it actually kinda needed after Temple of Doom.

But to answer the question... not really.

Too bad you don't have high speed net, Vlad. Can't watch any youtube videos. If it's true it's really too bad you have no way to view vids at all.

In the America's it's better to live north. The more north you live the better off you are here. There's a plethora of net up here.

As for the original question it only has any resemblence because of the length of the hair and direction it grew yet I don't know what brought this on?

I could have sworn I saw the same thing in a cloud in the sky today. wink.gif

out of all the Indiana Jones films, Temple of Doom is the only one I don't like that much. The film kind of drags on a bit and feels lethargic at times. The overall atmosphere of the film bothered me, not so much because it was dark, but it was the wrong kind of dark to the point of not being fun to watch. The first movie was exciting with all the tomb hopping and nazi dodging, while Temple of Doom was just a moody slosh through hell.

Id post another site Korban would fit in like a glove. Sadly would be inappropriate.

And as for the villain of the movie drinking from the wrong grail, yeah the long hair and bulged eyes ill admit sorta look like Christopher Lloyd.

It's not that I can't watch them at all... It's just that I really have better things to do than spend hours downloading less than a minute of exceptionally bad-quality video... But, yes, some videos are larger than I could download, what with Earthlink disconnecting the connection after 12 hours, or need the phone line... Plus, I'm really trying to minimize my electric bills... If I really cared about online videos, I have a friend with high-speed internet and a DVD burner who could send me copies of them if I asked him to... But I seriously doubt that there's anything worth watching enough to warrent doing that...

Also, I like Temple of Doom a hell of a lot better than The Last Crusade...

Does not compute.

Although, Temple of Doom does boast of the best set design in an Indiana Jones picture. And The Last Crusade does inhabit some of the silliest, least reverent character developments of an Indiana Jones film. My favorite has always been Raiders of the Lost Ark. There are so many action/adventure films that can only dream of being the opening 15 minutes of that movie, say noting about the rest of it.

Those are the very reasons why I really enjoyed Temple of Doom. For me it was a nice change of tone; it wasn't a music box playing the same kind of movie all over again. The last Crusade though...? Sean Connery was good in it. That's it. Raiders remains the best of the three - that really goes without saying.

It's called "personal preference". Ever notice how a lot of movies that win awards and critical acclaim then to actually suck? Take Titanic... Take it far, far, away and rip out it's heart and toss it in to a volcano... My mom got hooked on that movie and nearly wore out the tapes... Until my dad "accidentally misplaced" (unwound and buried in the trash) them. I've had migraines more sufferable than that movie...

Temple of doom is meh. Parts of it are good, but that damn screaming girl needed to be shot.

My favourite Indy flick is The Last Crusade, even if it's just to watch Jones Jr. and Jones Snr. bicker. biggrin.gif

But I *hated* the Crystal Skull or however it's called.. They got spaceships in my alternate universe fantasy! *pouts* That aside, the fact that I wanted to strangle Indiana's son through the whole movie didn't help there. My goodness, what a smarmy fuckwad!

At least few people got their hopes up about Indy 4. Oh the lessons Episode 1 taught us. They seriously should have just gotten a more adult short-round, with their relationship he was basically Indy's adopted son anyway. But then Shia Labuff isn't Asian. And you know they were probably thinking "spin-off potential!"

Speaking of Labuff, am I the only one who was forced (by other family members) to watch his "acting"* in that terrible disney sitcom "Even Stevens" as a kid, and thus can't stand the sight of 'em?

*He made Pacino look subtle, yet somehow remained consistently annoying and unfunny. Like if Jar-Jar Binks were the focus of a show.

did anyone ever see the Young Indiana Jones flicks? I know there were a bunch of them, but I only saw "legend of the peacock's eye," as it came with the VHS box set of the trilogy.

Never saw'em. Though I did read a few of the "Find your fate" Indy books by R. L. Stein and other writers as a kid. They varied in quality but one or two of them were really good.

No hard feelings on all the video comments, Vlad. The best part of any story is watching it the first time through, even if you know the hero usually wins in the end.

What about real life? Is this the first time through, now that's really another question.

Yes, he looked at least somewhat like Christopher Lloyd. What else is there to say about it?
