By the way, Richard Adam's Autobiography is amazing. It's easily his best work next to Watership Down. I know i've been on a kick with this author lately, but he really is an excellent storyteller.

They're good books, but I can't help the feeling that Siendes would love to punch Honor straight into the face.

The author has made Blindsight available for free online (long, complicated story about his publisher not treating the book's first printing very well), but I bought it anyway to drive up his sales numbers. You can find it here if you're curious.

Richard Adams is one of those authors who knows how to talk about the small, private and introspective thoughts you have in your head, in such a beautiful way. He's especially good at doing so in first person.

Yes, posting a school text book. I'm simply brushing up to see how fast it comes back to me.

It's a school book, how creative does it need to be? 'The Good, the Bad, and holy fuck I hate Calculus'?

I'm currently rereading Rita Mae Brown's Sneaky Pie mystery series. Total flat, but comfort reading. Plus the interpersonal drama's fun!

Even school books need to be identifiable in some way -- if not to the students, then to the institutions who buy them.
Teacher 1: This calculus book is awesome! You guys should totally switch.
Teacher 2: Great! What's it called?
Teacher 1: Calculus.
Teacher 2: ...Just "Calculus"?
Teacher 1: ...You know what, let me get the ISBN.
