@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

Judge Dredd : Dredd vs Death

This game is okay, I like the concept of arresting perps instead of ourtight killing them. The problem is that the premise isn't executed to its fullest potential, not by a long shot, and that the engine isn't very well optimized, what with massive slowdowns in areas with high density particle effects. Still pretty enjoyable.

I am also playing Synergy Mod and Serious Sam FE and SE in co-op with friends.

Picked up both assassin's creed games finally. Nearly done the second memory block now, but hitting a weird snag... namely, a cutscene tells me I'm allowed to kill a guy finally... except that he tells me I'm free to do-so... yet can't leave. I've loaded and reloaded the scene, with no luck. Tempted to take it back as a faulty copy. Same thing happened to me in Killzone months ago. Couldn't progress for whatever reason.

Are you talking about version 1.0 RC 6? That is the most recent official update. (Yes, Elecbyte is back.)

The multiplayer demos of Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Aliens VS Predator.

Bad Company 2 is without a doubt the Xbox alternative to MAG. Y'know, except without the efficient server architecture that allows for 128 player games. Nobody knows what they're doing, which means you're usually stuck by yourself. Squad system lets you spawn next to party members, which makes it good for small group gameplay with friends in large battles.

Aliens VS Predator is well designed but doesn't spell anything out to you. Well, except "aim for the head" and that sort of thing. Most people once again don't know what they're doing so they just overtly charge you and you kill them. Because you know what you're doing.

I just got Harvest Moon: Animal Parade. It's.. well, it's a Harvest Moon game, they're all alike in the end, but charming and addictive enough to keep me getting every new one that comes out.
The gameplay feels a bit sluggish in places, and the loading times between areas is annoying, especially when it's just between houses or barns. The landscape is expansive, which looks pretty but becomes tedious when you're running back and forth through mostly empty roads. They could at least give you a horse early on in the game, instead of making you unlock it further down the road.
Still, it's got some nice new characters and tons of stuff to do. The farming mechanics seem pretty well balanced so far, there's a nice selection of marriage candidates, and a lot more customization (my character can wear a hat! and have a baby panda for a pet! yay!)

Fable: The Lost Chapters is on GameTap, so I figured I should give it a spin after deliberately forgeting everything Peter Molyneux said during development. It's... okay so far. The plot is a little thin and I hate the saving system (I do not always have an hour to play through every stage of your quests!). The quests have me pushing forward, though.

It's amazing that people even paid attention to him after Black & White flopped. Why were they surprised when exactly the same thing happened again?

Bioshock 2

Just picked it up today and it's pretty good. You play as a big daddy, dual-wield plasmids and weapons at the same time without having to swap between the two, you hack machines from a distance, and you get to use the Big daddy's drill(Splicers fear me!!!).

Also multiplayer is a blast, it's kind of a prequel to the first Bioshock since you play as a citizen of Rapture during the civil war, it's hard to get used to at first but it's worth a try.

Still world of Warcraft (I finally got Samus' jewelcrafting into USABLE areas; Siendes is finally actually earning some coin on the AH and Chalcara is pouting at me because I stabled her and Fluffy in Conquest hold, 'coz I suck at huntering.)

BUT! I enriched it with Morrowind and Dragonage. Although I haven't played Dragonage yet, just read the booklet.

Sorry. Got distracted by a Kajiit.

I'm back to Freespace 2, this time running it on the Freespace Open engine. This mod takes a game that was made in 1999 and turns it into something that could have come out last year. It comes with a bunch of other goodies, too, like a conversion of the first game and a complete fan remake of the lackluster Silent Threat expansion.

This is why I love PC gaming biggrin.gif
