@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

For those who play video games (or pen & paper RPGs). What kind of games do you like and why? smile.gif
What are you playing currently? What do you like and dislike about it? (Maybe as compared to some of your favorites?)

(I'll add mine at a later time as I'm about to take a nap then do some school work.)

Well, it's hard not to think of a non-list thread right before you fall asleep xD.

Just about anything with weapons and cheat codes or Action Replay codes... I picked up a nifty one yesterday called Cel Damage Psychotic cartoon demo derby...

Lots of Modern Warfare 2. Presents another scenario of me picking the road less traveled with character classes to get an entertaining edge.

Also considering 3rd Person Team Tactical gametypes... I've never really played SOCOM and I think the added awareness may aid in producing actual firefights.

Oh yeah, and I'm burning through the Spyro the Dragon series on a PSX emulator.

I take it you're not getting the "real ending" in those games? I've never beaten Spyro 1 much less the others. Well, I did have Enter the Dragonfly and got that one to like 98% completion, though it's one of the buggiest PS2 games I've ever seen. Those Superman64 flying challenges are the antithesis of fun to me. As if expecting you to find every jewel in every stage of every world wasn't enough.

Game changed pace once it hit PS2, apparently. With like David Spade voicing the fucking dragonfly in one. 1, 2, and maybe 3 (haven't reached) are solid.

Finding every gem hasn't been difficult for me.

I had it gifted from the US. The Aussie censored copy has all the same weapons but the zombies don't lose body parts and don't stay on the ground after dying. They simply fade out of existence as they fall, just like the German version (check youtube for videos showing the Aussie version). Also, there are no riot police uncommon common infected as they were removed because they allowed the player to attack "figures of authority."

Dissidia: Final Fantasy. Didn't like it at first, but the story started hooking me... not to mention that I had no idea the 'Cloud of Darkness' from FFIII was so scantily clad... no wonder we never got it in the US until 15-20 years later.

...of course, it could be the fact that there was an obscure hero from the series... they never actually gave him his own name. It was understandable in the first game because it was the first of its kind, and was supposed to be totally customizable, but by the third game, the protagonist should have his own name, shouldn't he? Especially after the protagonist in the second game had one?

Regardless, I kind of like the arcade-style 3D-world fighting mechanic. I'd love to see that in an arcade. Cloud vs. Sephiroth in a non-Advent Children scenario is pretty awesome to have some people portray, especially when they're great at the game and have unlocked a variety of abilities and moves.

I'm still playing Sims 2...for some reason I enjoy the way I zone out vacantly for hours whilst watching sims pee and eat all day. Though I finally did get 2 expansion packs for it... yeah. Exciting!

I was playing Tomb Raider: Underworld (it was on clearance at Target for $5 xD) but I haven't touched it in a while. It's just kind of slow and annoying on my comp...

Mostly Heroes of Newerth, the DotA remake. A lot of my buddies play it. The depth and strategy to the game seems endless. And even though I know its futile I am trying to get better at the game so I can actually be a reputable player rather than a scrub. If anyone wants beta key I have tons.
Also L4D2 every now and then again.

I'm probably gonna play Assassin's Creed 2 in a week or so, it looks so cool and I'm surprised the Italian Renaissance has not been used as a game setting yet. Right up my ally with Historical Fiction. I love a good adventure game that pulls you into the action. never could get into shooters for some reason.

as far as board games go, I'm getting into "go" now, but it is really really HARD to find opponents to play now that my roomie has gone to Iraq. Taught a few people how to play at college game night, but they never emailed back.

I know i'm not "playing" it, but about to start reading Dan Brown's "Deception Point" tomorrow. hope that will be fun.
