That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

Sonic's design is based the Felix/Mickey Mouse/Bosco style character, so yeah.. no surprise.

That design sheet is from the games, ie Japan though, so... it's pretty much the exact opposite of what Korben said. The games bear greater resemblance to Felix/whatever than the cartoon, not the other way around.

Oh..by Japanese I thought he meant the Sonic X/Sonic Adventure style, which doesn't look as Felix-y anymore. Satam-styled Sonic is still close enough to the Sega Genesis-era Sonic that I can see the influence, though.

Funny, I was watching the old 1991 Felix movie and was thinking about he he vaugly resembled Sonic. It's in the eyes.

Fun trivia: Milton Knight, who was responsible for the visual style of AoStH, went on to do The Twisted Adventures of Felix the Cat, which was a [really] loose continuation of that movie.

I remembered the Felix Cat movie in 1991 when i was 10 and that was fun.

Actually he's older than that. If it wasn't for Felix, the Feline Charlie Chaplin, we wouldn't have Mickey or most likely any of the funny animal characters we know and love today.

He was redone in the 60s or 70s (can't be bothered to look up which) in an animated TV show which is what pretty much all of the subsequent stuff including the NES game has sprung from.

They have the Felix movie on Youtube and i always thought that Princess was smokin' hot. Yes the Felix game was fun but what if AVGN reviewed it?
