@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

All I care to say in here is this "Eggman" is a fucking twat. He looks like a twat, named like a twat, and for all I could care is a huge dumb ass twat. Personally whoever wrote him into being Robotnic I think had twat all up in his brain to come up with something as twatish as that twat Eggman.

Fucking twat.

And yes, I tried to say twat as many times is I could.

Has it even been established that there are two Robo-Robotniks (cause that's the first I've heard of that), or is this just more of Ian's 'I say it, it's FACT! Get over it!' moments?

More of that.

As for what Blaster posted... The Robo-Robotniks in that special had nothing to do with the dark-blue Robo-Robotnik. They didn't even have a significant role in that issue.

If you really want to know what Ken had planned, you can go over to his message board and read it.

I agree…SATAM Robotnik is where it’s at. >:^D

Origin of Robo-Robotnik#1 (Issue#19)

Robo-Robotnik#1 came from a Terminator knock off universe. Complete with Leather Jackets and “I’ll be Back” type puns. He was destroyed, body blown to pieces, at the end of the issue.

Origin of Robo-Robotnik#2 (Issue#22)

Robo-Robotnik#2 comes from a M25YL variant future where Robotnik lost End Game and Sonic went on to be King of Mobius. Sonic is seen in the issue with kids, Sally is the mother. It is later revealed that Robo-Robotnik MK II eventually regains his body and destroys Sonic and the royal family.

QUOTE

QUOTE (”Ken Penders”)
The Robo-Robotnik who appeared in SONIC #19 is indeed the same one that appeared in SONIC #22. My concept for the character was vastly different from the original Robotnik in that the character utilized technology that allowed itself to grow, adapt and morph into different versions. If you refer to the SONIC LIVE! Special, you'll see yet another variant of the same character, which I thought of as the Ultimate Version

If I understand Mr. Penders correctly. The gaint mech Robo Robotnik was the “Ulitmate Version” of “Robo Robotnik”. Okay. But, then the issue clearly shows Robo Robotnik and his “different versions” are building himself. Every single Robo Robotnik on page is connected to the “Ulitmate Version”. They’re the same character(s). All 200 of them… :^\

QUOTE (”Ken Penders”)
This version was featured in segments whenever the future was referenced throughout several of my KNUCKLES and M:25YL stories. Yet another possible version of Robo-Robotnik was introduced in SONIC SUPER SPECIAL #7 in the form of Dr. Ian Droid, my character from THE LOST ONES.

Okay…so now there are THREE Robo Robotniks!?!? My Gosh….when is it going to stop!?!

Thankfully this “Ultimate Version” never saw fruition and was ultimately sidelined by Ken himself. Ken was going to use the “Ultimate Version” to attack Knuckles in the future M25YL stories. But that never happened. Instead, all we got was Green Knuckles using force lightning to kill Robotnik in the future. So much for Robo Robotnik saga.

What Ken PRINTED in the comic verses what he INTENDED over 15 years ago are two very different things.

Ken’s version(s) of Robo Robotnik were flawed from the get go. The lack of communication between Ken and Karl only compounded the problems further when they were writing the characters(s). Ian is just trying to make since of the mess he was given…which thankfully will be made clear when the Sonic Encyclopedia hits shelves later this year.

Sonic Encyclopedia...? Written by IAN? No thanks...This will give him another excuse to add more retcons and revisionist history.

QUOTE (masterblaster)
Blah blah blah, too lazy to paste all the text.

Ken's plans may have been convoluted, but seeing as to how they were never properly executed, the continuity never truly suffered from it. Ian is just disregarding previous canon, and that is what I have a problem with.

I don't mind retcons that do away with ridiculous OOC nonsense, but this is a retcon with no real purpose but to push the author's personal agenda.

A queen named "Regina"? How creative. ('Regina' is Latin for 'queen'.)

I just bought Sonic #210 (there was a long line at the checkout in the grocery store, so I checked out the comic rack... for some reason I still buy a Sonic comic when I see it on the rack). I see that this is actually worse than I thought. Her name is "Regina Ferrum"... which is Latin for... "Iron Queen". (Well, "Queen Iron", but whatever.) Groan. Why give her two names that just mean the same thing?

It's also probably not even good Latin. I would translate "Iron Queen" as "Queen of Iron", which is "Regina Ferri". I'm guessing they didn't do that 'cause either 1) they didn't know Latin and didn't care, or 2) then it just sounds Italian.

Probably both.

I know Kroger used to carry the comic book, that is where I first saw the comic(about 13 years ago).
