That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

My father collapsed this morning, complaining of dizziness and pain in his chest. We had to call for an ambulance, even if he kept saying he was all right.

Turns out he wasn't. Blood clots have somehow navigated to his lungs. They're keeping him for a week, on blood thinners. They said he's very lucky, because most of the time when clots move, they hit the heart, and they don't even make it to the hospital.

...I hate hospitals. I've been here for several hours now. He's in good spirits and all, but he's 59. Both of his parents died at 62. I don't want to lose my dad. sad.gif

That is tough Xian :/ . There are few more hateful places than a hospital. I feel for you, but I am glad to hear your father is doing better. On the good side smile.gif. I can't tell you anything more than to be thankful and treasure the time you have with him. Learn from him, make him laugh. And get him to feel your love and affection. That is all we can do.

Thanks everyone, it certainly is hard.

Dad's still at the hospital. His body's resistant to the pill form of the blood thinners, so they're keeping him a little longer. Apparently, though they said no damage was done to his lungs from the clots, they were wrong. They put him on a painkiller when he started having chest pain again, and scans show that a portion of his lung (where the bigger clot is) died due to lack of bloodflow. So making him laugh is out of the question for now, since it's painful to do-so.

Mom's stayed out of work for more than a week to keep him company at the hospital. We can barely afford these medical bills, so she can't be taking this much time from work (they don't pay her for FMLA). Regardless, she's taking this really hard. I don't know what to do.

... I'm very sorry to hear the news, Xian. To me, the fact alone that you have a father is a gift - I don't know what happened to my father, and if he's even in fair health or not. There is is simply no information. Life is finite, and I certainly have my fears about the rest of my relatives - so knowing of your situation makes me a little cold/fearful with consideration.

I earnestly wish your family the best. Find strength where you can; humans are a resilient lot, although they tend to deny it.

That is tough. Always double check the doctors. Find out what you can. Arming yourself with knowledge is always good. I'm sorry this happened to you Xian. I hope things get better for you and your family soon.
