The Freedom Fighters investigate myserious green water by raft down the Great River to be sucked into a whirlpool that takes them underground. The old king of the caverns can not stand the surface dwellers invading his home as Snakebots burrow beneath the surface.
Robotnik is drilling for oil from the surface but will the underground king show mercy to those who live among the light and dark? Rotor takes center stage is this quest to save the water supply and a stranger's home.

The green water was freaky, but I'd love to have seen more information on what it was and where it came from.
One of my favourite episodes: Rotor saving the day FTW!

UM...yeah.
Not one of my favorite episodes, but worth a watch every now and then. The green water is interesting but unfortunately it was a one shot deal, along with the Slug King of the Underground. It was nice to see Rotor get a shot at the heroics
Should watch it again sometime...it's been a while.

Given that they were drilling for oil, and based on the depths of our oil wells, I'd figure that it was somewhere between 600 and 800 feet underground.
In a similar vein: The self-destruct for the snakes would actually make sense. If they were to malfunction after striking oil, they could ignite it.
