@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

Wow. This comic is turning out pretty smart. The crystal-explanation made pretty much sense. Now bring on the torture!

Have waited years for this pay off! Our Sea3on staff rock! The little 'Robotnik' red herring was a nice touch, even though we all damn well knew who those eyes belong to; I sure as hell enjoyed how the whole reveal thing was handled. Now, here's hoping all the damage Archie has done in the name of Naugus can go away and start freshly here.

All credit really has to go to salamander for last week's Robotnik tease; my script called for a "sillhouette", and salamander ran with that in one of the best directions I could've hoped for. I also quite like salamander's design for Naugus; he looks MUCH more menacing here than in either his original SatAM design or his Archie look, and that touch of Gremlin in his face is a fine choice, says I.

EDIT: Also, brownie points to chalcara for calling Naugus controlling Sal. happy.gif

I love how Naugus looks, so evil and mencing, espically with the red eyes and all! I'm loving how you're bringing all of this together, it's great!!

I like your explanation for how Naugus found a cure for the crystallation side effects so quickly within the short time period between "The Void" and "Doomsday" (The energy discharge from the Doomsday Machiene...I'm guessing the energy from the Deep Power Stones also had something to do with it)

Thanks guys. I didn't even realize until later that the silhouette looked like Robotnik, I was just trying to show more than just the eyes but still be vague enough to not totally reveal who it was. But if it works, it works tongue.gif
Naugus is the only point so far where I deliberately went in a different style. His design in the show or the comics didn't do much for me, so I tried make him look a little more creepy/menacing and stylized. Gojira picked up on the Gremlins influence, I was also thinking of the Penguin's appearance in Tim Burton's Batman movies as well. I'm reluctant to change anything too drastically from the show, but I think Naugus needed a new spin to put some life and interest back into the character. I'm glad you guys are liking it.
Besides, the dude is magic, he can make himself look different if he wants to tongue.gif

Naugus is HARD to make scary. When I first saw him in SatAM, I was all "What the FUCK is that?!" This one's a thousand times better, but unless there will be a total design overhaul, I'll always go "Eeehhehehehe. CRABBAT CRABBAT!"

The character designers totally dropped the ball on him...

It's not like characters haven't shifted designs between seasons before (*cough* Rotor). I like this new Naugus happy.gif

I do wonder what turned him so suddenly against the Freedom Fighters, though. They seemed lukewarm to each other the last time they parted company. Naugus wanted to use them, and certainly didn't care about them, but he wasn't out to destroy them. He treated them like they were beneath his notice. Maybe Snively made hunting them a condition of their partnership?

Honestly, I don't think Snively and Naugus are partners. Snively might THINK so - or he even thinks he controls him, but I honestly believe Naugus outclasses him. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Naugus plays our favourite Henchman like a fiddle. Naugus always struck me as quite clever, even if he made the stupid ass blunder regarding Robotnik, that got him stuck in the void.

(And, yay! Brownie points! biggrin.gif Thank you!)

Weird. I think I may have heard the deviate, kinky laugh of MistressAli echoing in my apartment after reading the last panel of this week's update.

It's nice that nobody here has dropped the 'Ixis' bomb yet. I believe that's punishable by off-with-your-head treatment on FUS, right?

The tricky thing with Naugus is that, given the powers he showed in the series*, he could curb-stomp the Freedom Fighters and hardly notice them. So far that's exactly what's happening. Something's got to either limit his powers or point them in another direction, because otherwise the Freedom Fighters don't stand a chance.

Looking forward to seeing where this is going smile.gif
