"What are some of your favorite films and why?" ?

2: The Friday the 13 movies. Love to see Jason kill people. Most of them deserve to die, anyway...
3: The Evil Dead trilogy. Gotta love a movie series that involves the hero chopping off his own hand and replacing it with a chainsaw... Plus, Ash's shotgun seems to have unlimited ammo.
4: The Phantasm movies. The Sentinel Spheres are the ultimate multitools. Name a purpose or method of death and there's likely a sphere to do the job. Plus, our heroes have a Quad-Barrel shotgun made from 2 sawed-off double-barrel shotguns, with the barrels forming a V, for maximum spread. Also has a chainsaw fight. And who doesn't love that beautiful black Hemi Cuda?
5: The Die Hard movies. John McClane is perhaps even more durable than Ash... Plus, he's got one of the most badass catchphrases out there.
Projection: If Intruder Organsim reaches civilized areas...
Entire world population infected 2,7000 hours from first contact.

Count Dracula
That's a little vague? Which movie? Or do you just mean the monster in general?
I take it here you just mean the monster/mythos. Or are you referring to the "Call of Cthulhu" silent film from a few years back?
And who, me? I could never narrow it down to 5. I used to be a film buff until a few years back.

1. The Lovely Bones
Not out yet, I know. But the imagery from the trailer just looks amazing! And Peter Jackson's more recent films (LOTR, King Kong) show he has a grasp on character development. So The Lovely Bones will be on my top list as soon as I see it.
2. The Fugitive
Well paced story, an actual train was wrecked during the making, and almost all of the lines were ad-lib from really good actors.
3. Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion
Visually beautiful experimentation of animation in filmmaking. Just amazing.
4. Run, Lola Run
A German film where the same 20 minute story is told occurring three different ways and resulting with three different endings.
5. Gojira (1954)
A sci-fi monster movie is finally written to be serious and emotional; with a more realistic, almost documentary style of cinematography.
Believe it or not...

Huh. I read the book some time ago. Didn't know there was going to be a movie, and by Peter Jackson too? This should be interesting.
It's hard for me to pick top faves and stuff... but hey.
1. The Fifth Element. Yep, I'm another fan of this
2. LotR films... I think my favorite is TTT cuz I like that sneaky lil Gollum.
3. Face/OFF. Crazy plot concept, sure, but I like the action and the idea of the hero and villain swapping places.
4 The Rock. Another with Nic Cage that doesn't suck (I like Nic but he makes bad movie choices to act in
5 All Dogs Go To Heaven. This movie is nostalgic to me, but I still find it very good. I like the 'grittiness' this 'kid's film' has.

1. Sci-Fi
2. Sci-Fact
3. Action/Adventure
4. Fantasy/Mystery
5. Drama/Anime
Depends what it is. My lack of participation in Anime discussions clearly shows it's weak and last on the list. The fact I had about 450 posts here and some on other Sci-Fi boards shows Sci-Fi's top spot.
