@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

Making a little gallery of some semi recent work to show,if any people are interested.I'll just post small versions to not take up space with DA links to full thing.

http://genocyber.dev...ively-113507484
A new style I started in how I do my sonic artwork.Hope you like!

http://genocyber.dev...-quot-115640707
I always wanted to see them go head to head since, they both got robotic limbs.See who is better using them.

http://genocyber.dev...augus-116257409
I love Naugus. And their is no good art of him outside the comic.There.

http://genocyber.dev...I-XII-113730243
A collage of all the Final Fantasy villains, celebrating FF Dissidia. Some aren't technically the -real- villains but screw it.My list >P

http://genocyber.dev...botnik-88718710
This was just something I always wanted to draw since Steven Butler made Robo Robotnik look so deliciously sinister in the comic.Call it a tribute piece to the character and the artist.

http://genocyber.dev...ctator-84767608
The best scene in the intro of the show I drew in my own style.Love the lip biting >:{

http://genocyber.dev...botnik-99850950
Them battling it out.Inspiration from Sonic 74 of them wrestling like this.

http://genocyber.dev...-zera-111271895
This was one of my OC I -rarely- make since everytime I come up with a good idea,I find someone already did it and did it better, but I lucked out this time.I had just wanted to make a bat character for myself.I was tired of seeing so many stock Rouge ripoffs with different hair styles that pass as good characters.
Actually in the beginning I was going to make her some cyborg soldier, but I started drawing her face because it was fun and kept on until it turned into this.
I notice the face looks like Midna abit. The crown I probably inspiration from KH

http://genocyber.dev...uptas-111299994
Heres her mummy,Voluptas. Was kind of going for a more gentle motherly approach with this one,but to make her look more 'sensual' than her daughter, hence her large frame and crown. tongue.gif

http://genocyber.dev...shire-132148367
Jester bat girl char. I made up.Her name's Cheshire. She can't talk but loves to make people laugh and is an incredible fighter. Also, she is naked!

I'm at the image limit so I'll post some more later if anyone would like.

Hmm, the last three works are rather curious, Geno.

I was actually compelled to comment on these much earlier. Now, it's the second and third-last which interest me. In general your artwork has come to possess a greater stylization and smoothness to it as it's progressed. This shows well in the comparison between these two characters, yet alone that they are related.

Regarding the two, what strikes me first is actually their wings. Of the daughter, there is that edged, somehow ragged and immature appearence; the addition of her flamboyant crown and long stock of hair lends that sense of personal aggrandizement, a sort of superfluous immaturity, as if she could increase her presence and standing by way of appearence and difference alone. Her mother, likewise, has a far greater sense of elegance, along with a commanding presence. I like how you've developed the concept of her attire, as well as the flow of her adorning head-dress/crown. (Somehow Voluptas reminds me of Queen Zeal, of the Chrono Trigger series.) Also, the difference in the breast-coverings (or, areola-coverings?) is also a nice contrast, if rather simple in nature.

Your rendering of details and anatomy is quite smooth, from a general standpoint. One can certanily see how much you have developed over time, in that regard. You certianly have a fair grasp of the general volumes of the feminine figure, which is good to see. The posture of your characters also captures a great amount of energy or personality, as do their facial expressions. There is a balance to the images (the likes of which I am not skilled in accomplishing).

Hopefully we will see more soon, Geno. Thank you for what you've posted so far - I know that posting is not always a simplistic affair.

Thank you for responding,I always enjoy to hear what you have to say. Most of the time what you say makes my work sound better than what it actually is! ohmy.gif
Those characters I made up I have no real specific purpose for.I have no stories or comics to put them in.I guess roleplay:p

http://genocyber.dev...ueger-120770288
Freddy needs no introduction since you all know who he is and what he does. This is just what I'd like to see him look like for the remake.

http://genocyber.dev...-Gods-126410617
For those who are into Lovecraft might like this.I almost gave up drawing this three times due to my lack of willpower and thinking it would turn out shitty.Mighty Cthulhu and his Dagon minions rising from the depths of R'yleh summoned forth by The Yellow King.

I wanted to make Cthulhu look all rotten and half decayed since he has been sitting on the bottom of the ocean decomposing for thousands of years.Tumors and lumps riddling his body to emphasize his corruption on life that he brings.

http://genocyber.dev...araoh-128117876
This was another one of Nyarlathotep I did.My own little spin on his egyptian pharaoh look.Their really isn't much art I see of this one and what I see is just boring looking so I made my own version...enjoy.

http://genocyber.dev...n-III-133022379
Once every while,I come along and prove how much of a friggen NERD I am.This is a tribute piece to Halloween 3 Season of the Witch. The only Halloween film that never had Michael Myers in it.Yes,you heard me correctly. Why? Well,if you really want to know its because John Carpenter(creator of the first two) wanted to make a series of movies about the halloween holiday, not mr shatner mask. But that didn't turn out so well so here we are.

Their was like,no good art of it out there sooo...yeah.Me filling in the void for a damn good movie that is the black sheep in a classic horror franchise.

Tell me what you think,guys

IMO boobs=character happy.gif
If the body frame is right they add alot more personality to whatever I draw.If you seen Eiken or heard of it,it makes my tattas small in comparison!

Here's a new pic I did the other night. It just started off fairly simple bust shot of Dr Doom.I didn't do the body or background but after I left it so empty I felt bad since it was looking so nice.So I wasted away all last night finishing it up @w@

Ah! Now this is fascinating.

My first thought is that you've done a wondeful job capturing that sense of volume to his figure - likely the perspective and angles found around his crossed-arms. Your use of his hood and robes add a ragged, but functional sense to him, rather in the same way that the metal of his body adds to the similar characterization.

Your choice of background tint is also excellent, as it provides an almost light and fantastic contrast to the dark seriousness of Dr. Doom.

The only matter I would openly object to is the flatness of the chains linking those discs of his cloak; if you could change the perspective on the chains, it would help sustain the aforementioned element of uninterrupted direction and volume of presence. I suppose there is also a bit of difficulty with his left wrist as it curls down into the crook of his opposing elbow, too.

I like your work here, Geno. I would say that it is a nigh well-spent.

A combination of Joker I did borrowing elements from different places. The Dark Knight,The Animated Series,Arkham game, and the comics.

http://genocyber.dev...-Nemo-117106489
Ah yes,Little Nemo.I felt really nostalgic when I watched this some months ago and found out their was a very small to little art fanbase to it so I felt it needed a good kick in the pants. smile.gif

Ba-Bump!

Here is a new picture I did after a long art block.

http://genocyber.dev...mpire-140767473
Tribute piece to the Doctor Eggman from the Sonic Comics.More specifically, back when he was first introduced after he was blown up as Robo Robotnik and became the Eggman today.I really liked how he acted back then.Very much like how Robotnik was but with a touch more bloodthirsty insanity and I loved his robotisization touch.
Pity he isnt like that anymore.

Your latest work is quite striking, Shadow.

The composition here is excellent, and I very much enjoy the work you've done. It's basic, but powerful in it's essence, and I agree entirely with the reasoning and purpose behind your work ... I have no appreciation of the course which Eggman has taken (though I've never had much faith at all in Archie's overall writing).

To that end, it is good to see your contribution to that long-lost element of his character. I, too, held a brief respect for that version of Eggman. Robo-Robotnik had an excellent buildup and initial appearence ... But that was well-nigh all that was seen of him, rather literally. Much the same could be said for this more manaiacal Eggman, sadly.

Thank you for the work here, Geno. I consider it a worthy display of his vile character.

Heres some new art for the holidays

http://genocyber.dev...ibute-145223589
Here's a picture of Karloff and Lugosi from an old b/w film I like called The Black Cat.This film always drew me in for it having the two biggest horror icons of that era interacting with each other.

http://genocyber.dev...asher-147224979
This is one I just finished after I got inspired from watching Nightmare part 5.I don't have much to say besides...its Freddy! biggrin.gif
Drawing him never gets old for me.

Nothing gets me in the holiday mood more than a flaming pile of dead skin with some serious mental health issues.

Really though, that's some good stuff. The lines seem a bit wonky at times, but that's really the only thing I have to complain about.

Great job! icon_cheers.gif

The outlines of his face are just a bit out of proportion.

I think that just has something to do with your style, however.

Well I went back and fixed up his face slightly. Noticed some parts looked abit off. Thanks for the heads up.
Here's some stuff I've drawn. Tried to get back into the swing of things with Sonic.

I decided to draw Freddy in a different style to challenge myself. I went back and tried to draw his 'classic' look from his first films and tried to show a different view of his boiler room. I used alot of references for the background which I drew by mouse and colored in. I hope you all like it.

Well as they say, less is more! competitive.png

This is the newest picture I have done and I can't remember the last time I have worked so hard to get a picture to come out this perfect. It took me about 15 hours in total. The background was all mouse drawn so on paper its just the three predators. I used tons of screen cap references based off the movie Predator 2 when Harrigan enters the ship at the end.
Please look at it in full view for the details.

Here's a new picture I did. It's of the guy from The Mummy. This is based off the look before he is fully passable as a human. When they see him finishing absorbing one guy in the middle of a street and he vomits scarabs.
I never drew him before and thought I'd give him a try.Hope you like!
