Warren Spector is the 'who' in question, I can expect as much from a guy who worked on System Shock, robot goofy and spider mickey will haunt my dreams though.

I think it is targeting people in the 16-28 range... 16-18 just cause they will find it messed up.. And the rest of the audiance being people who are familiar with everything Disney and find this funny. weird, creepy, and.. messed up.
But awesome cause its using our childhood characters

Just be aware of the fact that this is only in the concept stage, and we don't know for sure if Disney will want to tone it down— and it's pretty likely that it would.
But maaaan, that art looks amazing. And it's steampunk. I hope good things come from this.
The giant jug of Paint Thinner kind of reminds me of the Dip from Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

I suppose we'll have to wait and see. I mean...we DID see someone make a first person horror-like shooter out of Alice in Wonderland. This game doesn't seem like too far of a stretch.

American McGee (a man who helped bring us timeless classics like Doom/II and Quake/II) is still trying to make a similar game to "Alice". But based in the land of Oz. The "Alice" movie has apparently been in development hell since the game came out, so I hear he's trying to sell "American McGee's Oz" as a movie first.
Also I saw this a while back, looks like it would be interesting. Though I doubt it would ever get made that way. Disney is the Nintendo of multimedia moguls, too protective of their family friendly image. Then again you never know, Nintendo did recently put games like "House of the Dead Overkill" on their console.
...Maybe that is the whole recipe of life, is to be in on the joke. Because life is a joke and if you're not in on it you're out.
But if you're in on it, you can make it." - Vincent Price

Plus it be amazing if Disney actually does give an OK sign for this. But Disney would probably add a good number of edits to the idea to make it feel less grim. Much like how KH2 was slightly editted in a few parts to receive a rating lower than a T.
