Remember to make S2E3 one of the episodes you watch, if only because Inhibitor will probably give you hell if you don't.

Just by it's sound it can describe pain, pleasure, hate, and love. "Smurf", as with most words in the English language, is derived from French, "Schtroumpfs" which means "To Smurf". In English, "Smurf" falls into many grammatical categories:
*As a transitive verb, for instance- "John Smurfed Shirley."
*As an intransitive verb- "Shirley Smurfs."
Its meaning is not always Smurfual, it can be used as an adjective such as- "John's doing all the Smurfing work!"
*As part of an adverb- "Shirley talks too Smurfing much."
*As an adverb enhancing an adjective- "Shirley is smurfing beautiful."
*As a noun- "I don't give a Smurf."
*As part of a word- "Abso-Smurfin'-loutely," or "In-Smurfing-credible."
And, as almost every word in a sentence- "Smurf the Smurfing Smurfers."
As you must realize, there aren't too many words with the versatility of Smurf, as in these examples describing situations such as
* Fraud- "I got Smurfed at the Used Car Lot."
* Dismay- "Aw Smurf it!"
* Trouble- "I guess I'm really Smurfed now."
* Agression- "Don't Smurf with me, buddy!"
* Difficulty- "I don't understand this Smurfing question."
* Inquiry- "Who the Smurf was that?"
* Dissatisfaction- "I don't like what the Smurf is going on here."
* Incompetence- "He's a Smurf-Off."
* Dismissal- "Why don't you go outside and play 'Hide and Go Smurf Yourself'?"
I'm sure you can think of many more examples. With all of these multi-purpose applications, how can anyone be offended when you use the word? We say, use this unique flexible word more often in your daily speech; it will identify the quality of your character. Say it loudly and proudly:
"Smurf you!"
"To grasp happiness!"
"ERUPTING GOD FINGER!!! SEKI..."
"HA!"
"LOVE LOVE TENKYOKEN!!!"

Not bad. But when it comes to that sort of sitcom, I'd say It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia wins out.
