@  furrykef : (25 July 2015 - 03:35 AM)

When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

That makes me mad! >:/

Seriously though, the only thing that annoys me more than lawbreakers are cops who do the same. I hate it when they abuse their privileges, arresting people with little evidence and those are are complete fatasses who eat donuts all day.

Exactly. One time I was trying to change my lanes, but no one was letting me into the lane, so I was practically stopped in the right lane. As far as I can recall, them failing to slow down and let me into the lane, since my signal was on. Well the cop comes by and appeared to gesture me in, but as soon as I tried to change my lanes, suddenly he turns his lights and siren on, so I pull off onto the side road. He pulled up next to me raging like "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING??? YOU NUT CASE!!!!! BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!!" ....what the fuck? I was dumbfounded! I was like "....I was trying to change my lanes." "WELL WHAT YOU WERE DOING WAS DANGEROUS AAAAAUUUUGGHHH!!!!! DON'T DO IT AGAIN!!!!!" and he SPED off! I didn't even see where the hell he went! I looked away for a moment and he was gone!

....how is me being stopped in my lane trying to change my lane dangerous? O_o We called the police department about that and all they said was *I* was breaking a law by sitting there in the lane (mind you would not have happened if everyone didn't fail to slow down; and could be they changed the law in recent years I guess). But he knew who I was talking about, and he said "well he could have given you a ticket, and he still has two years to do it." Basically that meant "shut the fuck up." At least the guy agreed the cop should not have spoken to me like that and said he'd talk to the guy about it.

Cops really don't have my respect unless they're law abiding and professional. Everything about that ugly, golfball-faced fat fuck was completely wrong. If a law enforcing official can't and won't abide by the laws, then they have absolutely no grounds to punish others for doing the same. That's a double standard.

Hmm... well yes..yes that's true. At least someone gets punished for breaking a law, even if the cop doesn't adhere to the law themselves, as opposed to no one getting punished for laws they break. But that's okay. I rant about cops breaking laws when I do it too, so I don't really have room to talk. wink.gif

I have met a few cops I did like though! We're friends with a few of them and they do indeed do their job right. smile.gif

Ohhh video games. How I love thee. Today has been a fabulous, completely lazy day! *lazes away!* And tomorrow? Another perfectly lazy day! Do gotta get back into cleaning and such on Monday. And I have to repair this other Acer I had for a while before trying to sell it. Also gotta get a burning program for my new laptop. I don't want to have two different laptops, especially when the second one is only used to burn discs with now, since it has Linux and a burning program.

65 degrees today, thank Frith. Actually had a chance to play golf today, which I haven't done in such a long time. Need to make a regular thing of it if the weather is permitting, as I do miss the game now.

Unfortunately, tomorrow is a high of 38 with possible rain, and I've gotta be out in it before dawn. = : (

My precious Cintiq 21UX.

I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone who loves their drawing. Poor thing does not get used as much as I would like to though, and this new barracks room I live in is hardly what you would call spacious enough to have it permanently set-up for easy use (I keep it stored under my bed and slide it out when I get the urge - much like Paul and his blow-up doll).

And for no reason at all other than 'because she is awesome', I give you Jill.

.... I neeeeeeeeeeeeeed it.

Ah, I have a tablet that was dirt cheap... I've had it for less than a year, and already it's giving some trouble, but it good enough. What I want is one of those monitors that you can draw on, now THAT is awesome.

I have met a few cops I did like though! We're friends with a few of them and they do indeed do their job right.

It should be noted that some state laws and statues explicitly exempt cops from having to follow them. Most of Kansas's weapons laws are like this. If they really want to and can get the funding, they could walk around with an effing minigun, whereas citizens can't have anything above a semi-automatic weapon. So, make sure that that they're actually breaking the law and not simply exempt from it, before accusing them.

Being exempt from laws does not mean you are above them. As a Military Copper I am exempt from certain civilian road laws, but that does not mean I can go around driving like Batman whenever I feel like it. I must justify every single one of my actions otherwise my arse gets burnt more than a civilian's ever would.

It may depend on where you are, too... Around here, nobody's goinna bother a cop for speeding or having a weapon that civilians can't use... I'd assume that perhaps in more population-heavy or "more civilized" areas, they might be disturbed by such behavior...

It also depends on the circumstance. If a police car wizzes by blaring it's siren, nobody will stop them. Heck if a cop shoots someone but they can justify it, there is no problem. Course it is a lot harder to justify it then you would think...
