Well, Suetonius lived from circa 69 AD to circa 140 AD, so take 1500-1600 years off that.
My comment about medieval scribes was because they are almost the only means by which we still have works from the classical period. We have stuff like The Odyssey and Caesar's Commentaries on the Gallic War because medieval scribes copied them.
Sometimes all that survives is what's called a palimpsest: a piece of parchment that was erased and then written over with something else, because it was too expensive to get new parchment. Modern historians are often able to recover the erased text, and sometimes this yields new discoveries. For instance, most of the plays of Plautus were found on parchment that had been erased to make copies of St. Augustine's Commentary on the Psalms. Much of the text has been recovered, but some hasn't. I'm really mad at that scribe.

Good news: If finally stopped raining for a few days. Also, I have some better anxiety meds, now.
Bad news: The majority of the yard is too tall/thick for the lawnmower to handle.

Was looking through my stack of games and came across one I don't remember buying. Gears of War 3. So, I fired it up and holy crap... Why didn't anyone tell me there was a game with an ASSULT RIFLE/CHAINSAW HYBRID?!

Cuz I never played any of the gears of war games myself.Was looking through my stack of games and came across one I don't remember buying. Gears of War 3. So, I fired it up and holy crap... Why didn't anyone tell me there was a game with an ASSULT RIFLE/CHAINSAW HYBRID?!
