That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

I gave her a hug before my dad took her off to have the vet sort out her body. The smell was already setting in, and I could feel how stiff her body was. At least it was quick for her...

My dog Roxie died today... :(

Her heart just stopped when she was out for a car ride with my parents.

That sucks. Despite their legal stus as livestock in most states, pets tend to become a member of the family. Dogs especially, as we've bred them to become empathetic with us. I've always been closer to my dogs than to the rest of my family. Mostly, because they're better people (and a hearty "go fuck youself" to anyone who says that dogs aren't people). When we lose a pet, we lose a family member and a friend (and sometimes a better friend than our human friends). We hurt, and rightfully so. I wish I had something I can say that would make you feel better, but all I've got is the assurance that I know what you're going through, as I've been through it a few times, myself.

So, instead, I'll ask something I do want an answer for: Why the hell do people insist on having ham for Thanksgiving and Christmas? I hate ham. It tastes awful. Why do people look at me weird when I ask this sort of question?

I'm watching Yu-Gi-Oh on Netflix out of sheer boredom, it made realize how overly serious the show was and how a children's card game could have consequences for the entire world...

 

If it was MtG on the other hand, it would make sense considering all the lore it has (the books are great by the way) and how its multiple worlds...
