While I can see Linkara doing this, I highly doubt the story is true. Mostly on the note I don't think they all are in the same location.

Technically Trial by Combat is a legal method in the USA as it is was never specifically abolished in Britain till 1818's Ashford v. Thorton, and the US never abolished it at all. However it would require both parties to agree to it and that's just never going to happen in this day and age.

I did not know that. Bet there's a bunch of old laws still on the books that should probably be removed...or at least updated.
