Heh, I'm stuck (offline) with the PS3 version of Legendary Edition, so modding is out of the question. I -have- seen pics/videos of some amusing Skyrim mods in action tho'.
{edit: found another funny video ^.^}

Did you watch Jeopardy! a week ago? They had a blind guy on there, Eddie Timanus. He was a five-time champion in 1999, which was the maximum allowed back then, so he was undefeated until the 2000 Tournament of Champions. He didn't win this time around, but he had a decent shot at it, since he had the most money going into Final Jeopardy.
Yea i heard about that.

Case in point.
By the way...
Has anyone said thank you for all your hard work, yet?

BTW, speaking of Jeopardy!, today -- after I waited a whole week to see Arthur Chu play again -- they interrupted the end of Double Jeopardy! to report a fire. Then they cut back just in time for commercials, then when the commercials were through, they started the news five minutes early to cover the fire some more. I can understand interrupting Double Jeopardy!, annoying as that is, but could the news really not wait five minutes? Sheesh...
Unfortunately, our local Channel 4 pulls this crap all the time. We, the viewers, are their source of income, but in moments like this they throw us under the bus. And the worst part is they can get away with it because they know it's not going actually cost them money.
I wish I could figure out a good way (short of just torrenting Jeopardy! episodes or something) to cost them money anyway just so they'd stop doing it.

Sure, but the satisfaction of a job well done is good enough for me.

Obviously, I wouldn't expect most people to know the answer to that one at all, and at least he did name an island of Japan. But it strikes me as odd that he knew enough to know Hokkaido is a Japanese island, but not enough to know that there aren't really any famous cities on it.

There have been some times I screamed "NO!" at a Jeopardy! contestant, but I don't remember any of them except today. The category was "dialects" and the clue was (paraphrasing from memory), "Kansai-ben is a dialect spoken in cities such as Osaka and Kyoto, which are on this Japanese island." The first guy to buzz in guessed, "What is Hokkaido?" Arthur Chu followed with the correct response, "What is Honshu?" I study Japanese (and, as it happens, my studies have included a bit of Kansai-ben), so I know that one pretty well.
For what it's worth, Hokkaido doesn't have any cities most people have ever heard of, except maybe Sapporo. Honshu has most of the big cities, including Tokyo.

Hokkadio, like Okinawa, had a very unique culture before Japanese Imperialism as well. Ainu and their languages are surely very different than Honshu's Kansai-Ben and should be noticable to those wanting to study or answer questions in that field. Afterall they have a unique heritage. It's sad to see those languages, those unique forms of expression, growing more and more endangered.
Care to educate us on these differing dialects? If I recall the aforementioned accent is the "redneck" accent of Japan, correct?
