Alex, we are not ones to ponder whether the idea of reincarnation exists or not.
So what? I mean, it baffle me to see people still belive in that! We are in the 21 Century! Some time, there's thing from the past that we need to get rid of (especialy irrational things).
You never know man. I'm agnostic but i partially believe in stuff like that. Its impossible to know but hell it could be possible
I'm a pragmatic atheist, and reincarnation is just pure non-sense. I can't make any logical sense out of this. Reincarnation is a mix of ghost story and afterlife. All of this is too much non-sense to be taken seriously. To top all that, just for the sake of the argument, let's say it's true: you'll be the reincarnation of a celebrety (the freaking president of the United State)? What if it was a random dude from a random country who got shot in the head in a bar or something like that instead?
In order to belive in reincarnation, you need to belive in ghost in the first place. At this point, i can't see it as being real since the first step is already impossible, let along the thing that come after that before reach the state of reincarnation.
Medical science have cracked the whole DNA sequence, understand more than 95% of the entire brain fonction and how it work as a whole, discover exactly how the human body work and we are close to make cancer a curable diseased. If ghost was real (which is not), we would have find that out a while ago. Even invisible things have their evidance to proove their existance, like wind, heat, etc. If ghost would be real, they would spread some kind of energy signature or anything, something that could be found in some shape or form. The reason why we never find that out, is for the simple reason that there is nothing to be found. Ghost was always a myth, just like the bermuda triangle, the Lock Ness monster, the Yeti or the BigFoot creature. Existance of ghost always was a fictionnal story, and forever will be...
I tried to avoid this, but I have to speak up.
Firstly you're kind of stomping on...everything right now (I have a Shinto friend who would like to speak with you).
Secondly, paranormal research is a field of science. And while they've turned up nothing concrete, they have come up with some things that imply that we humans have yet to find explanation for.
Thing is science is not concrete. It's always evolving and changing as we learn more. What is fact today may be history tomorrow. For all we understand about the universe, gravity could suddenly flip itself at any moment and we'd have to rethink everything we ever thought we knew (once we managed to stop ourselves from falling up, that is).
Perhaps the reason we haven't detected traces of ghosts yet is simply because we haven't developed the tools to detect such things yet. Or perhaps ghosts aren't really, but what we call "ghosts" are actually part of something much bigger and even more unknown.
And regarding the Yeti/Bigfoot...to claim them as nothing but "legend" and assert that there couldn't possibly be an unknown species roaming about is just absurd.
The Bermuda Triangle isn't a myth; it's a real place with documented strange occurrences. Are they paranormal? Not necessarily. But as it stands, we can not explain some of these events.
But that's why scientists are still studying it; they're trying to find an answer. They have a few theories, but nothing concrete. Not yet.
And that's the whole point of science. To figure out the unknown.
Disregarding fact may be a ludicrous concept, but so is disregarding the unknown.
I've said my piece.

Paranormal in my book is not even a word, but rather a description: which describe something either irrationnal and/or illogical.
When i see these so-called ''ghost searching science'', i just see a complete waste of time. I see it as much valuable as the Scientology (which proclaim themself as a form of science).
Perhaps the reason we haven't detected traces of ghosts yet is simply because we haven't developed the tools to detect such things yet.
Or simply because they don't exist...
The only ghost story we always heard of are always story that are setup in a way that no one can disproove it. This right here show how much these story cannot be taken seriously. They know themself how unconvincing their story are and need to make them in a way to keep the mystery intact. If these story was real, they would have been some evidence by now to back it up (which there isn't any....at all!). After more than half a century later, and were still stuck in the same position with no more progress on that subjet. At this point the conclusion is clear: were looking for non-existant things!
The Bermuda Triangle isn't a myth; it's a real place with documented strange occurrences. Are they paranormal? Not necessarily. But as it stands, we can not explain some of these events.
Yes, i'm aware of that. I've heard such story like the famous disappearance of the flight 19 in 1945 in this area. But any paranormal claim behind it is simply absurb. The only thing that can be said about the Bermuda triangle is: Meteo is a bitch!
But that's why scientists are still studying it; they're trying to find an answer. They have a few theories, but nothing concrete. Not yet.
And that's the whole point of science. To figure out the unknown.
I know what science is, and looking for answer is what i expect from science. But for cry out loud, all i ask is to stop looking so such irrational/illogical/impossible stuff.

I'm curious to see it.....but at the same time, i don't know if i'll survive the experience..... ![]()

It's not that i like it or not, it just that i want to present the update in person. In fact, showing myself in person is always stressing for me.

Really? Damn, if only i knew that before.
Sarcasm aside, in some way i rather talk with people in person. But since were in a forum and we can communicate with each other as text only, showing ourself is the closest we can to feel like being togheter in a conversation.

I prefer being faceless, personally.
In fact, if law enforcement wasn't a bit strange I'd wear a mask while out in public and when dealing with other people.

I never was (i still aren't) a social person, but i'm glad to see i'm not alone.
I'm one of the most rarest case in the world. How so? Well, i don't have a facebook account and don't intend to make one

I don't used twitter or anything else either. I only have an account here and a youtube channel...and a broken hotmail account.

No facebook, twitter, etc. Just FUS and Outpost 31 and the occasional Email to a former RP friend. Oh. And my KOL character, who is a stick figure. I have some pics of stuff on Photobucket, but none of me online at all.

I was just like that too when i was a kid. I'm not that worst anymore. I'm still kinda unsure if it's a good idea to post my face on the net for the simple reason of if it's being taken for a humiliating meme for exemple. There always the fear for that to happen. But at the same time, it make me feel more connect with other people when i talk to them, like to give an idea of who you are dealing with. Not so the people think of me of someone totally different of what i'm really is. But at the same time, i have the problem of having picture that doesn't make me justice. I mean, i look at my own picture and it look like me...but kinda. When i look myself in the mirror, then on the picture i've just taken....it doesn't really look the same. But i guess it's the closest i can get.
It's also the problem of being anti-social, since i'm not confortable in public. I will not go that far to claim myself as being misanthrope, because i don't really see myself as being it......but i never feel like able to fully attached myself to the public. For exemple, i am going back to school in mid-September. I didn't went to school since 2008. I take a walk often at evening after souper, or go to my local video game store (or other public store), but i never really went in a truly public place for a extend period of time since many year. Just the thought of being surround for hours with other people make me nervous. My girlfriend is just like me on that, so this is some of the many reason why she and i are so attached to each other: we feel pretty much the same on so many subject/situation, so we understand each other so well.
This is that far what i can say about me on the subject. I like to be open on me on certain thing, just enough in a way to....i don't know how to say that, but like connecting myself with the other in the forum. Showing what kind of person i am. But like everyone, there's thing we keep for ourself for personal reason.
I don't have a Facebook either. Never had a reason to use social networks.
Me too, i never used these thing for the reason i've mention earlier. This is also one of the main reason why i hate about what the video game industry has become. I hate when my X360/PS3 harass me with facebook or twitter. Then the Xbone and the PS4 will expend on that. It's simply NO WAY for me!

I'm definitely misanthropic, but that's another matter.
In my case, I despise having my face visible, period. That includes...well, actually having a face. It's why I would rather wear a mask in public.
I don't like being seen. In fact I hate it. I can't stand being visible. I'd rather be thought of as...well, an "entity" for a lack of a better term. I want to be treated as an entity over as a person. To be thought of as someTHING as opposed to someONE.
tl;dr - I have identity issues
