@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Hello sirs and madams,

This is my first official News post after becoming owner of FUS, and I figured I should tell you all what is currently going on, and what will go on over the next few weeks.

For starters as I have already stated you will see a new admin poking around here under the name of Puss. This is actually Sonique, or Alison, the original owner of FUS before Rocky. For the full explanation on her help you can read Rocky's stepping down thread. She will be helping myself and John with out move and getting the site up and going.

Secondly, you will not notice any big changes for about 2 weeks. At the current time the site is on a contract to the advertisement you see above us. That ad is only contracted to us for another 2 weeks.

However, during this 2 week period the other admins and i will be busy working and setting up FUS, along with the new boards over at our new host. This does include a domain name change. So in 2 weeks time or there about's our new domain will be www.sonicsatam.com. I understand this will be the second change we've had, going from satamsonic.com, to satamfans.com, and not onto sonicsatam.com. The reasons for this is myself and John wanted to get a domain right away in our own name. No third party stuff, no nothing. Now Alison was offering to give satamsonic.com to me, however that would require some transfer work and a bit more hassel then myself and John wanted to deal late last night.

So what to expect after the move? Well... We will have a new message board. The new board will be invision, just like our last one, however a "official" copy, and paid for. Another nifty thing with the new board is you can expect to see a gallery on it. I'm 100% sure on how that works yet, but from the stuff Ive seen on it it is... similar to what photobucket looks like.. Or DevArt. You should beable to click that section on the board, upload your pics, people can see them, and comment etc etc. As well I can get a randomizer on the gallery that will randomly generate images onto the main page off to the side. Similar too the "random episode of the moment" that Rocky put up.

During the move to the invision boards we should... should, be able to do a data transfer. Now.. If something goes wrong and we can not do that it doesn't mean you will loose this board. I will just put it into archive and keep it on the site. So at any given time you can go back to it.
Speaking of old boards, I am currently in discussion right now to get the data for our old invision board. So if all goes well, I will have both old boards hosted on the site in archive mode. Well.. Hopefully the data transfer will work and I will be able to move this board onto invision. But if not do not fret, it will stay with us.

These are the current set plans so far. What we know will be happening. As we have already bought invision, as well we bought our host space.

I will let you know with any more changes as I find out, as well giving you the most time to prepare for them. Namely our domain switch.

Thank you all for your patience with us during this matter. I thank you for your understanding during this change in leadership, and I hope you stick with myself, John, and the other staff members during our change.

Thank you,

Paul Scott.

And you never will see it. *Gets the brass knuckles out*

I guess if any bugger has questions, queries or suggestions... this would be the best place to do it. People want to keep their own banners (for those that have them)? I know I want to keep the main FUS banner we got going there up the top (cause it's awesome). How about a petition to NOT have the bloody Canadian flag flying on the main page?

We have a fortnight to get this right - plenty of time - so have at it with whatever is on your minds. Paul will be taking calls. Day or night. I support any pranks to him, during early hours of the night especially. Baseball batting his mail box would be even better (I'll be leaving 2100 tonight for anyone wanting to join me. Bring your own bats).

I support flying the Australian flag on the main page, and removal of all misspellings of colour, customise and favourite from the site. I will also be bringing an extra bat for the poor soul that forgets theirs.

So the Aussie's reign of terror has begun. Soon, we will all be having shrimp on the barbie and saying "Oi!" after every sentence else we get banned for not being Aussie enough.

Then we will all be forced to wear khaki shorts and wrestle aligators.

So one time Steve Irwin was walking in the middle of nowhere, and there was this big crack in the ground. He peeked in and he saw a big ol' crocodile! So he said...

"Crikey, there's a croccie in the crackie!"

This didn't actually happen.

"Oi, FUS, eh!?"

… no, we cannot have both, you can only have one stereotypical tag line. The only way to settle this is a duel with a hockey stick and a boomerang instead of swords. You are both allowed a Mountie and a Kangaroo as a tag team partner respectively.

You could try new zealanders. Just swap 'i' and 'e' and you've got most of their accent nailed already.
