@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

I have a feeling the opinions on this poll will be a little bit biased.

Honestly, WHY is the Simpsons #1? As much as I love the Simpsons, there's plenty of other cartoons that rank above it. The fact that South Park/Family Guy/Futurama rank so high on the list is kind of appalling considering I expect classier cartoons to be at the top.

Animaniacs, while high on the list, should have been in the top ten along with Pinky and the Brain. The writing for both of these shows was excellent, mixing cartoonish slapstick with adult humor that didn't resort to the filthy antics of previously mentioned cartoons. It was something EVERYONE could enjoy, not just teens and adults.

Particularly when it comes to Art, there's no such thing as an unbiased opinion.

What the hell??? A list without reference list... I don't have the connection speed, or the intersest to spend a few days checking out their screwy setup...

I don't trust these kind of lists, anyway... They're usually skewed in favor of a specific group's opinions and those groups usually don't include me or people with similar tastes to mine. The fact that they even have Jose & The Pussycats on there shows that these people don't have very good taste in TV shows... After all, the real hallmark of a good show is one that you can watch 20 years later and still be into it, not something that makes you wonder who out there could possibly like it...

considering this is a SatAM fansite, of course opinions are gonna be biased.

There's an interesting question, can we call SatAM a work of Art? More importantly, why can't you have a biased opinion about art? Music is an art form, yet people have biased opinions against genres all the time. Judging from the list, there are probably biased opinions for the shows on that list.

Why wasn't "angry beavers" on that list?

Of course SatAM should be on there ;P And of course the list is biased..
Some of my top faves made it to the list (Talespin, Darkwing Duck, Venture Bros) but at pretty high spots. I mean, I know shows like Underdog and The Jetsons and Scooby Doo are classics but there's no way (IMO) that the actual quality and creativity of those shows beats out stuff like Talespin
Also Reboot wasn't on the list... that was a good one. Parodies of stuff every show, and seXy computer viruses like Hexadecimal. That should've been on there too. But whatever, I still like my show regardless of an internet list

You can't rope Futurama along side the crap that is South Park and Family Guy. It actually IS the classy funny kind of funny; not the toilet humour kind of funny.

Well, you can if you want, I suppose. That means we can legally slap you, however.

I don't give a crap whether a show is "classy" funny or "toilet" funny. I just care about if it's funny.

I used to find Family Guy very funny, but for some reason it doesn't do it so much now. Guess it's gotten old for me. There is occasional highbrow humor in there, though, although it usually has a lowbrow spin on it.

As for South Park... well, it was a lot funnier back when I wasn't supposed to watch it. Now it's very hit-and-miss for me.

Futurama is hands-down brilliant, though. It does have its "off" moments, but there's no show that doesn't.

Definately in the top 20. I have to be honest. There are cartoons I remember more but that don't feel as good as this little gem.

I'm gonna say "No". *dodges all sorts of objects thrown at him*

I absolutely LOVE SatAM Sonic. I think it's a show that is better written than most other SatAM shows, but I don't want it in a list where The Simpsons raks #1.

The IGN list obviously isn't ranking the shows by quality, or The Simpsons wouldn't be at the top. Rather, this list seems to be ranking the shows by popularity amongst both American animated fans and Japanimation (a.k.a. anime) fans.

Now if it were ranking the shows by quality, SatAM Sonic would easily be among the top 50.

The mayority of people voting there don't care about the art, the writing or the concepts. So it's gonna reflect on the list.

And I agree with FreakyFilmfan even though I voted 'yes'. Mostly because i did not look at the list and won't either. But Sat-AM DOES deserve to be in a top 100 animated tv shows list. A decent one anyway.

And I can be biased because I adore the show, but I can also nitpick it. Still, it was high quality cartoon.

Anyway, it will always depend of the humor, the more rude or obscene it is the better. If it makes fun of people and such or it's just plain dirty. Just see what the only reason Adventures of Sonic the hedgehog is well known now. All thanks to the PINGAS! xD

Huh? Futurama is perfectly classy. (Some of the episodes in the latest season excepted...)

How many other shows are there where they regularly make jokes about quantum physics?

EDIT: Wow, holy shit this thread's old. I've even responded in it before!
