The ScrewAttack guy frankly has no idea what he's talking about (although that's hardly a surprise because he wasn't actually there). For instance, the movie didn't "almost" get picked up. That's what happened in Richard Kuta's mind, but he was probably far, far away from getting it picked up and if he was told otherwise it was almost certainly out of politeness.

I suspect nothing will come from this at all.

Lol maybe, he'd have to be made of stone once he sees the truth of it though, especially since even if sonmanic actually winds up making the movie it'll be so incredibly stupid. Aside from anything else, also anyone who wants to read the script to the movie, which hard news guy obviously didn't, it's on ED. Along with two cease and desist letters from when sonmanic sold bootleg satam DVDs and from his never ending pestering of Sega.
Too bad hard news guy, who was a fan of the show from the commentaries they did, fell hook line and sinker for sonmanic, who no doubt sent in this info like he did to the nintendo forum years back.

On a note of criticism, no amount of cool looking animation will make up for a terrible story! God help us all if this thing comes to fruition because I seriously doubt anything good can come from this!

But yeah, apparently this guy hadn't seen the ED and...well he'll end up getting a pretty rude awakening eventually.

Heheh oh yes. The rat bullets. And Palace of Castle of Acorn. It makes the castle or palace more special to have one in the other! And the delusional kids and adults and misplaced modifiers! Epic win!

True. I've never read it, but...
I'll be fair and give it 10 pages to interest me (that's common for movie producers when they read scripts, right? ).
EDIT - I read maybe 2 pages. Even though it looks like a movie script, the format is all wrong. "The year is 2012"? How do we know that? Does a title appear and tell us? Then it should read:
BLANK SCREEN
A title appears. it reads "Year 2012".
...or something like that. And it is not common to put ages next to the name of the character names before they speak (if those are, in fact, ages I am seeing). Instead it should read:
A LARGE MAN walks to a PODIUM on the STAGE. He looks to be about 40 years of age.
And the action is all too unclear. I'm not reading the rest of it, and it doesn't surprise me that an actual movie producer wouldn't either.
Believe it or not...

Anyway, way back when -- before I was fully aware of how bad this guy is -- I actually offered to help him with the screenplay, not having seen it yet. He had shown me some materials that had bad spelling or whatever and I pointed out to him that he's not going to get anybody to read it if it hasn't been proofread. I tried talking him into showing me the screenplay so that I could proofread it for him, and he almost did, but at the last second he got all defensive saying that he didn't want anybody to steal it. (Of course, now that we've seen it, who would want to? )
That sort of "I don't want you to steal it, so I won't show it to you" attitude isn't going to get you very far in any creative industry. If it's that important, register the copyright; then people can't steal it. Moreover, if you're going to show it to people in Hollywood, they're just as capable of stealing it as I am, so being overprotective doesn't really help. It just gets in the way of good business.

Aye, even those of us who just do a bit of writing or cobble together a website add a © symbol if we think about it.
