I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

I remember having to resort to this once. Although that was on a forum who's owner didn't implement any CAPTCHA. I had a constant stream of emails telling me someone needed activation, none of which were real peoples' profiles.

The image verification here is pretty decent, perhaps real people are registering to spam as well.
