@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Part 1
Part 2

A must watch and is full of alot of truth and as for his 6 step program to save Sonic in part 2:

Step 1: Yes
Step 2: Yes
Step 3: No
Step 4: Yes
Step 5: Yes
Step 6: Yes

Speaking of step 6, I would like to see someone turn his idea into a fanfic.

Well, I think his guy has the right ideas to revive the Sonic franchise from the dead.
I don't know if step 6 could be made into a fanfic, it would probably have to have 1 or 2 more main characters.
Sally could have a rivalry with Amy over Sonic and Antoine could be the comic relief or the guy that screws up all the time and is hated by everyone.

He has the right idea, unlike a certain other guy.

This guy's stuff is pretty good.

Quoted for truth.

Yes, this guy seemed to know what the heck he was talking about. Implemented correctly, I would probably buy that game if it ever came out. Unfortunately, chances are we're going to have to wait the crap storm out before we get anything that sounds remotely like that layout. As of now, Nostalgia is the only reason for Sonic's free ride!

I mostly disagree w/the killing the characters and scraping the "Eggman" nickname permanently.

well, they should keep a few of the characters, use the Eggman name as an insult thing, and mix things together. (i.e. take the games, the SATAM show, and the comics, and come up with something from that POV) and use these characters:

Not bad, except adding the SatAM characters would only make the character roster even bigger, but whatever.

Yes, but if the some other characters are removed (please Cream and Big at least) then it would balance out.

I can't stand big the cat...I remember playing sonic adventure and thinking "Why does a game based around action and speed need a character who um, goes fishing?"

I don't get it.

That's what I thought, I mean what was his point in the game seriously? Other than chasing his frog all over the place? He was filler material at the best in the game.

The "Mega Man" pathway he mentioned is more like Castlevania.

i loved the "SatAM Fans, Chill the F*** Out" comment. It really shows how well he understands the Sonic fan base. I think MovieBob needs to play Sonic Unleashed, because he pretty much described everything about those gameplay mechanics when discussing a new purpose for speed.

Also, didn't step 6 sound a LOT like SatAM?

Id have to agree on that, it did use the same aspects from SATam. SATam did a very bleak theme where the hero and his friends and family had a good life, then some man comes around usurps the military force to attack the unsuspecting populace. Then in a way takes away that happy home for power. Create a evil enough villain and youll get the interest of the reader and the hero in the story.

Sonic Unleashed/World Adventure (360/PS3) is one of the most underrated Sonic games.

I totally agree that Unleashed is underrated. My roomate and I played it last semester and had a friggen blast going through it. We almost needed the werehog stages to keep from going into shock. I can't trust the internet review sites anymore after they all gave it crappy reviews. Considering sonic unleashed has had higher user reviews than official reviews, and it's sold over 2 million copies (far more than most other 3d sonic games), there's probably going to be another one built with the Havoc engine.

You mean Hedgehog Engine? And 3D Sonic games have sold reasonably in the past, hell, pretty much every Gamecube Sonic is a Greatest Hit.

If you look at the credits at the end of Unleashed for the 360, it says that the Havoc engine was used. I think the hedgehog engine was created to allow for the 2D/3D transitions.

Yeah, Havoc Engine was used, but the Hedgehog Engine is the primary engine.

I haven't played Unleashed for any platform because of the reviews but Sonic The Hedgehog 06, OMFG what a trainwreak. Thank god the story removes itself from the sonic timeline via a time pardox at the end. It was like the game knew it would suck so it undid itself.

Havok is just a physics engine.
