This movie was good but not what I expected of it. I expected more action!!!
And Harry and Ginny have some pretty weird awkward moments.

Minor complaints, title rather misleading, and calling the Dear God "Forest Spirit" is plain retarded.

I recently saw HyperCube and I don't really care for it as much except for how they escape. Not who escapes.
C+. Only the special effects give it such a rating.

End of Evangelion
****-
The most enticingly bitter A- you'll ever see.
This is a movie that you will either love or hate. End of Evangelion is the sequel to the anime TV series Neon Genesis Evangelion, and it takes for granted that you've seen the TV series. Without taking the time to explain what's happened in the series prior to the film, the movie throws the audience into the initiation of mankind's destruction. (Trust me, that was not a spoiler. The movie is advertised as such.)
There is a recap movie entitled Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth that reduces 26 episodes of the TV series into about 90 minutes so everything will make sense, but it's very disjointed.
The character development in End of Eva will only be significant if you watch either the series or the recap film, and therefore might be considered ill written if you only judge the film isolated from the series. But, the visuals, animation, and cinematography is amazing. The film also gets very philosophical towards the middle of the movie, and doesn't let up until the credits. If you enjoy a good bending of the mind, it's very fun to watch. But it gets to the point that some who have even seen the TV series didn't understand the last half of the film.
My first impression of the film after seeing it, I hated it. After a day or two, something clicked inside my head and I understood most of it. It's one of my favorite animes now. Coupled with the TV series, it's an amazing anime.
Amazing art. Love it or hate it.
Believe it or not...

Batman begins. B- because it feels like a genuine move yet feels dragged out in spots. Would have liked more clever antics by the villians but it might only be me.

Power Rangers was around in Japan since the 70's. But I really can't imagine Neon being inspired from Power Rangers. They're way too different from each other.

Sadly, I think this might be the last stop-motion animated feature length film we'll see. And it's a very good one. Classic Tim Burton feels to the character designs, amazing animation, and the lighting and cinematography is very appealing... in a creepy sorta way. I wasn't a huge fan of Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride was very mediocre to me, but this movie had a very charming story to it. Lots of enjoyment.

F. This movie was a horrible excuse for a Street Fighter film. The animation was worse than the Matrix, and if they'd never said any of the names of the characters, I'd have had no fucking clue who was supposed to be who.

I beleve Neon was inspired, or at least the end of evangelion, by the short-lived 1980's super robot series Space Runaway Ideon. I won't say why, to keep from spoiling the ending of both shows, but the way Ideon ends blows Neon's ending out of the water.

Sadly, I think this might be the last stop-motion animated feature length film we'll see.
Good News: The feature film adaptation of Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr. Fox is Stop Motion.
Bad News: It looks awful. XP
Anyway...
Funny People: C-

"ERUPTING GOD FINGER!!! SEKI..."

Music leaves a sad, desolate feeling though, even though it's pretty sounding.
