Edge of Tomorrow
Real good. Sweeps an odd range between sweetly romantic to viciously cynical amid a bunch of awesome MechWarrior fights and time travel. The last fifteen minutes are a bit weak and roll back the rating, though.
7 or something.

Maleficent: 8/10 - A fairly good movie in the vein of Mists of Avalon where the villain get to tell her side of the story. Acting was good, but the portrayal of some characters (the Good Faeries in particular) left a bad taste in my mouth.
Labyrinth: 11/10 - A great nostalgic trip, it really takes me back; Jim Henson's puppeteering is great as ever and makes them seem like real characters. I absolutely love David Bowie's acting and singing; I wish that he acted in more films.

It still holds up remarkably well after all this time. One of the top three movies I gladly repurchase each time it is released on a new format (along with Back To the Future and Ghost Busters), and never once fails to recapture that little young bastard's imagination inside of me.
RIP Bob Hoskins.

Machete Kills
4.5/10
Complete 180 of the first movie. It seemed Rodriguez forgot what kind of movie Machete was supposed to be. The first was a grainy violence exploitation looking film full of tits and gore. This second outing felt more like an Austin Powers movie with CGI guts. It even has the boob guns, which aren't as much fun the second time around. We had a lot of great looking babes but we didn't get to see any nudity, which was part of what made the first one good. It was unapologetic about what it put in it. It even had the missing footage gag some shitty drive ins might have gotten. That kind of humor is sorely missed here. Once the whole missile plot and mel gibson thing showed up the entire movie became too retarded. The blood and gore seemed like it was done poorly on purpose here, but since its still in CG it defeats the punchline. Danny Trejo gave this his all to make it fun, and when he's left alone to murder people it is pretty good. The story felt all wrong. Like someone made a rough outline for a Bond movie, and they took it and wrote in Machete and a few bad jokes. Bleh.
Stick to the first Machete.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit. To hell with arbitrary scored ratings - I fucking love this movie.

But not HalloweeN?
.... You bastard.
"The Devil Inside is the new scam from director William Something Something. The movie stars actors and was edited on a computer. Somewhere. This movie is the latest film in a series of very low budget films designed to look like real movies! And be released in theaters to make a quick buck via a horribly off kilter budget to profit ratio that the general public seem to be stupidly unaware of! These films use to be called 'direct to video' but now they are called 'first run features'. These films then vanish from the theaters, like a rapist leaving the scene of a crime." - Mike Stoklasa of RedLetterMedia

The Outlaw
Partially dramatized in The Aviator as solely an advertisement for large breasts and an aerodynamic bra. The movie itself is an excruciating C-Grade Western where two famous gunslingers do anything but parallel their historical counterparts and the tone shifts from somewhat serious attempts at murder (note also: the female lead is in love with both of her rapists) and an episode of Bonanza. I speculate that the movie is a Trojan Horse, soft-core porn shielded by boring scenes and Billy and Doc arguing over ownership of a "horse," while bumbling Pat Garret tries to arrest them both. It isn't worth it in either case.
4/10

Have you see that new HalloweeN collection Anchor Bay are releasing? They're even officially releasing the good version of H6 in that set.
RIP Donald Pleasence.

I'd... I'd rather not come at you. That could end very badly. Especially since you want me to "come".
And of course I've seen that huge spooge worthy 15 disc blu-ray set of all the HalloweeN movies. Hell, I've even gone ahead and pre-ordered it. What kind of sad wanker do you take me for?

No, I'm calling it 90 minutes of eye cancer.
