Directed by Joel and Ethan Coen aka the Coen Brothers.
A- for grotesque comedy.
I think the director is trying to create nausea, especially because he keeps cutting to the spinning fan and dead fish alongside a glass of curdled milk (which has a dead fly in it). The rest is a bunch of bullets and killing scenes that are sickeningly funny, especially the private detective. I thought he was just a hired assassin at first because my mind had one of those moments where I wasn't paying much attention due to multitasking.
Overall, I think the director is almost mocking the audiences' perception of sick humor in this film--which makes it sardonically hilarious.
Scene from Blood Simple: The Detective and his 'Buggy'.

Johnny Got His Gun: you could probably just watch the music video for Metallica's "One" and see everything that's really of any importance to the plot. A tad dated (especially with the pacing and some of the casting choices), but nevertheless genuinely disturbing, sad, and thought-provoking film that takes big, hippie-fisted potshots at the establishment (man).
Dark Days: excellent, black & white documentary about a group of people living in the tunnels beneath New York and eventually forced out. Depressing, but enlightening and attempts to end on a high note; don't know to whom I would recommend it, but if stories of the homeless interest you (like me), it's entrancing.

Prometheous: F. A seriously lackluster movie. I feel like I've wasted money on this movie.

Secret World of Arietty: 6/10 Ok, but not one of Miyazaki's best.
The Pirates In An Adventure With Scientists (The Pirates! Band of Misfits): 7/10 Another great film by Aardman Animations.
Men in Black 3: 9/10 Despite a few flaws, and the lack of certain previous characters, this is easily the best in the series.
The Avengers: 8/10 Truly one of the best superhero movies. Iron Man, as always steals the show for me.
Dark Shadows: 7/10 Very underrated. A good mix of comedy, horror and drama. Not recommended for hardcore fans of the show.
Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted: 9/10 The best of the franchise. A good story, great new characters, and funny jokes. A good conclusion to the series. (If they do make a 4th one, I'm going nuts)
Brave: 8/10 An epic adventure, with a good moral. Another Pixar classic.
Ted: 9/10 Extremely funny, very raunchy, and a very clever story. Proof that Seth MacFarlane should get to work on the Family Guy movie.
The Amazing Spider-Man: 8/10 The best Spider-Man movie ever.
The Dark Knight Rises: 9/10 Better than all previous live action films.
ParaNorman: 10/10 Funny, scary and epic. The best zombie movie ever.
Frankenweenie: 11/10 The best movie ever directed by Tim Burton. Period.
Wreck-It Ralph: 9/10 Funny, memorable, heartwarming, and honorable to the world of gaming.

This film blew me away. It was clever, funny, touching, action packed, well thought out, and just all around enjoyable. With an amazing cast, stunning visuals, a creative story with some great twists and turns, and soundtrack that mixes orchestra and retro soundtracks together, I just can't recommend it enough. And the the best part, you don't even be a huge gamer to get into it.... well, of course, it helps. But the story and characters are handled so well you don't have to know a Koopa from a Master Chief. Again, it helps, but it's not needed.
