Fucking terrible movie, the MST3K riffing just barely made it bearable to watch. It's full of pointless party scenes, terrible acting, abysmal writing, shoddy cinematography and one of the most fucking retarded ways to kill the monster. (On par with Slugs) I bet Eli Roth was inspired by this shit what with all the fucking partying.

I Think the mummy did very good. I think though they introduce too many characters just to have them killed off though. And Cahill was good, but it ended way to fast. The dramatic final gun fight barely lasted 30 seconds. Most wasted talking.

At the risk of sounding like an absolute douche, I thought that movie was just so lame. Maybe it's just because I was forced to watch it, against my will. Seeing the bunch of old guys trying to look like "I've still got it!" really remind me of, well...

I still want to see (in theaters) Megamind and Unstoppable. *shakes fist* I wish there was a theater with weekday matinees closer than a half hour away from me! >< Our local theater only plays matinees on weekends and I work those...

The fuck did I just watch? I mean, I knew it would be bad, but it feels like the makers just used the NotLD title to sell more copies! Still, at least I didn't watch the 3D version.
No rating for this shit pile.
"The Devil Inside is the new scam from director William Something Something. The movie stars actors and was edited on a computer. Somewhere. This movie is the latest film in a series of very low budget films designed to look like real movies! And be released in theaters to make a quick buck via a horribly off kilter budget to profit ratio that the general public seem to be stupidly unaware of! These films use to be called 'direct to video' but now they are called 'first run features'. These films then vanish from the theaters, like a rapist leaving the scene of a crime." - Mike Stoklasa of RedLetterMedia

Very well done. This movie really set the mood for the final chapter of an amazing series. I would say that the movie kept withing about 75-90% of the book. Yeah, they had to take some stuff out, but there's no way any movie can stay 100% true to the book, not remove anything, and keep it at a decent length while having theatrical appeal. I only wish that they had
The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader
This one left me a little less fulfilled than Harry Potter did. Fox took a few too many creative liberties in my opinion. However, I must look at this movie from a cinematic point of view. In all honesty, I believe that had this movie been made 100% from the book it would've lost much of its cinematic appeal. The action sequences they added really made the movie come alive so I can't really discredit them for making those changes.
This was a fun week, watching two movies from two of my favorite book series. Overall I was very happy with them. There's some good movies coming out for a change, it's about time!

In short:
2001: ASO is stunning and very strong both visually and thematically, but if one isn't that impressed with the strong photography the pacing will get on one's nerves. Anyone with any interest in film history, sci-fi, or intellectual works should probably watch it, though.
Evangelion 1.11 is a great animated film, but mainly by the default of the original TV show episodes it was based upon. The above link also has a comparative essay between the movie and the TV series.
Believe it or not...
